Games you just couldn't force yourself to beat...

Did you grind to max out your characters right after getting to Ch.11? Seems like that's what most people do before continuing to Ch. 12.

But it didn't take me longer than 4 hours or so to max out...

I miss playing XIII. Once you get the platinum trophy, there's literally nothing to do in the game. :(

Forgot to mention Limbo, i dont know how the F*** this game got a 9 and was praised for so long, i played 5 minutes of it and got extreemly bored and sleepy, havent touched it ever since, only 5 minutes got me bored not to mention braid also another 9/10 game that was pure bad than fun. just show how never to trust someone elses opinion

Not really, it was predictable, i mean, did anybody belived that the government was any less bad than the villains? it was shocking in the sense of the whole "3 years later" epilogue, but after i knew my objective i was like c'mon, are they really going to force me to play as him only to show me that he didn't learn anything at all? IMO it would have been a much more memorable ending if they showed that Jack didn't throw at the garbage everything than John did for him.

Often when I play through a game's sequel, then go back to the original I can't bring myself to beat it just because it's missing all the great additions. I wanted to go back and beat Vice City after I played through San Andreas, so you can imagine how easy it was to give up on that endeavor.

I had trouble with Metal Gear Solid (PS1). I'm going to try it again soon because I also bought MGS2 + MGS3 for my PS2 and want to end up trying them also. I hated Mass Effect the first two times I tried playing it and it ended up being one of my favourite games this generation so I'll definitley give MGS a chance again.

I'm also having trouble with Persona 3. I mean, it's cool. I like the idea behind it all, but gameplay wise it can become quite tedious to the point where I began to see things like social links as chances to raise stats instead of character interaction and development. Once they mindset kicked in it really started to become a drag. But I do go back to it every so often because I don't dislike the game, the music is cool and I think the combat is quite good. I also have Persona 4 to open one day.

There are plenty of others, but they're probably to obscure to remember.

How can someone that loves jRPGs stop playing a game after 5 minutes due to boredom? I mean seriously, certain jRPGs have been some of my favourite games of all time but many have notoriously slow starts. LIMBO is an inconsistent but otherwise decent game.. But Braid is amazing.

Just Cause 2, the missions were boring.. however, hijacking planes, blowing crap up and killing people is way fun.

Honestly, too many to remember for me. If I just don't personally enjoy the experience, I won't waste my time.

GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption....Rockstar's games start out with a bang but then get incredibly boring after awhile. I also couldn't force myself to finish Bioshock...again, a game that may have had the best start of any game got incredibly boring a repetitive.

metal gear solid 4. i hate that game it too boring

Final Fantasy 13 and GTA4. FF13 is terrible and GTA4 I get distracted easily.

doesint need explosions or gunfire. Im not some person who only play shooters I have diversity in my colloection. Its just the gameplay limbo offered put me to sleep.

FFXII and Demon's Souls. I've got an unopened copy of Dark Souls that I won't open until I beat Demon's Souls but I don't think I ever will.

You have some really good games on that list what made you drop GOW 3,Uncharted 3,LBP and Ratchet & Clank:Crack In Time.

Star Ocean 4 - Pure torture this game is. After playing SO3 and SO4, I'm no longer intersted in the Star Ocean series. Tri-Ace should just stick with Valkyrie Profile imo.

Far Cry 2 - Malaria, random guard-posts, driving countless minutes towards your destination, etc. This game had a lot of things that annoyed me.

Demon Souls - Got bored halfway through.

Another game that I couldn't beat was Blue Dragon. I got to the final boss and died. I couldn't subject myself to anymore torture so I threw it in its case to never be seen again.

I have a tendency to arrive at the very last level and then just stop. Then, I'd resume and finish the game months later.

Sonic the Hedgehog on Xbox 360. I literally played it for a day, then took it back for store credit. It was seriously that awful. I should have listened to the reviews.
