Games that deserve a remake

Not a sequel, just a remake, like those NES Final Fantasy games that got a remake and were released on the PS1.

I'll go first:

Nothing too fancy. Maybe just upgrade the whole thing to the first Aurora (Neverwinter Nights) engine, so we know it will work with Windows XP and 64 bit OSs and CPUs.

Also, the first two Dragon Warrior games were remade for the Super Famicom, but they were released in Japan only. Maybe a translated Virtual Console release of that version would be a good idea.

other then graphics, I'd want everything down to the last detail, exactly the same.

Your sig reminded me of Panzer Dragoon Saga. I keep hearing great things about it, but playing it, it seems, involves paying ridiculous amount of money on ebay for a copy. A remake would be a good idea.

Wasn't that released on the Virtual Console? I like Gunstar Heroes, but let's try to keep this about games you can't play right now.

You're better off getting the Japanese Saturn version, then just get the full script off the net.

A console sequel to Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve 2.

I love this game. It brings back so many memories of the fighting game era of the 90's.

I would love to see the original Metal Gear games remade in 3D, and San Andreas with GTA IV's graphics and general gameplay.

I don't want any remakes. I prefer the originals.famicommander

I want FFVII with new graphics that will blow us all away, and with HUGE areas, as I don't want a world map AT ALL. I would also like to see MGS, MGS2, and MGS3 with MGS4 graphics.

I would also love a remake of REmake with RE5 graphics and gameplay.

It was already remade... on GBA. On the Playstation version, they added cutscenes.

MGS 1- (the game cube version was terrible)

Boxing Manager - Amiga (was a good buisness game managing fights liek football manager but not boring lol)

Constuctor - PS1 - Was the best constucting game ever even better than todays games

Tomb Raider with an alive Lara CROFT and with a story that makes sence! current remakes have just been complete Balls!

oddly enough..this was one of the best games I've ever played on any platform yet it got a crapshoot score.

My first ever PC game...this was on DOS..how many ppl can remember even owning DOS that are as young as I am?

I want a remake of it, although it will probably seem like a Lara Croft rip-off given the protag and setting.

I really want to play those games, but I tried playing them on the Subsistence disc and they weren't aging that great.

... after playing MGS4 I wish theyd remake the controls for MGS1, 2 and 3 and rerelease them (even if in PS2 visuals).

I also think we're due for a new Streets of Rage

The gaming industry is turning into Hollywood now... nothing but remakes of old cIassics... and to boot not all of them are even close to as good as the originals.foxhound_fox

Really? There are only two remakes i can think of (RE and MGS1), one of which is way better than the original (REmake).

metal gear 1 and 2 in 3D, at least in MGS quality (3D but snake still moves like the old games, and camera is top-down), maybe MGS4's full camera control if they want.

Also OoT and MM for DS.
