Prices aren't always right at the beginning of the sale, gotta give it an hour for steam to stop shitting itself
Also, it's not much but bundlestars has 10% off Tekken 7 and an extra 5% with code RED5 at check out https://www.bundlestars.com/en/game/tekken-7

"Automatia" ? "Nier" ? What's wrong with you people? It's NieR: Automata :P
Nair: Tapatio?
I wasn't planning on picking anything up during the Steam Summer Sale but Hyper Light Drifter for 10 euro seems like a good one.

Not surprised, newish games. Even if you get a discount it will usually barely be anything.
The more obscure games that were selling shit in the front place usually get a massive discount.
Bunch of cheapo fighting games -

This sale still sucks compared to previous years. Barely anyone is creeping above 50%-60%
There is a part in this video where he says something about Souls combat that I know Conan will appreciate lol
As usual, good stuff from Matthew.
In a post-Nioh world, I'd disagree about the Soulsborne stamina system putting all other ARPGs to shame, but still it's damn good, much better than most.
"The combat is nothing remarkable."
Yup. It's good. It's tense because you know the consequences can be harsh. Its simplicity isn't a bad thing. And in the tallest midget contest that is ARPG combat, it comes out smelling like roses. But like he pointed out, these games are carried by various other factors. There's just no way that combat could carry an action game.
Imagine if Souls tried to have something like NG's mission modes, Bloody Palace, Angel Slayer, etc. Nobody would play that shit lol. It's basically just simple spacing, dodging, and trying not to over-extend, not very layered beyond that.
Good video all around though, it does feel like a lot of the series better qualities have been filtered out through "refinement". And the whole fix one thing, break it again in the next game, while outright ignoring other issues is a bit silly at this point.
Demons and Dark1 both felt like special games, but I don't see Fromsoft capturing that magic again with this series.
@FireEmblem_Man: they definitely lost that trade. Wolves are about to blow up next season. Jimmy Buckets, Wiggins and KAT? Lawd have mercy
Still better than the Knicks at least! We needed to Rebuild anyways. I still want GarPax fired
@ConanTheStoner: Yeh lot of the magic is lost from people getting so familiar with 'em, in des/ds1 you were actually somewhat scared of what was behind the next corner, having played them all you'll get a pretty good image of what you can expect and how to deal with it, sure I'd still buy and play dark souls 4 but doubt the series is ever going to be able to reach the first entry sensation unless they do something majorly different.

I agree with his larger points, but some of his examples I'm less enthused with.
I agree with the whole the notion that sequels that just refine the rough edges out of a game, aren't necessarily better games. If anything a lot of the rough aspects are what made the game, the game. It's not eliminating the flaws, but highlighting the strengths.
That said while Sif is a fun fight. Maiden Astrea is hardly worth remembering on a fucking replay, same thing Nicohlash. And even Souls standard bosses, are a type of experiences the rest of the medium isn't delivering on. But I guess that's some "experience" vs "game" thing.
Strange, I've never even thought about the camera in Bayo lol. Like at least with NGB I can understand how people might not get it at first, but Bayo should be a total non-issue. I'm trying to think of how it could get in the way, but I'm coming up with nothing here.

As for my gaming scrub issues, Stephen's Sausage Roll is a cruel lesson in culinary arts. :(
Just grilled the perfect sausage trio, only to find out I was sausage blocked from the exit. It seems I'll forever be a scrub at puzzle games.
And to make matters worse, this game makes me want to fire up the grill at 3am.
Y'all are delusional as ****. I don't play a ton of character action games so maybe I'm just not used to poop camera controls but it's definitely annoying. Not enough to kill the experience but it's not good. Same thing for the souls games but those cameras are crap for different reasons.
The tricky and most genius element in Stephen's Sausage Roll isnt actually the goal in cooking each quadrant of the sausage, it's working around how much of a dick the movement mechanics interact with the sausage and the boundaries of the level.
One of the best puzzles I've come across in the game is this one puzzle that's deceptively simple: you immediately think to just plod the sausages across its adjacent grill. But then the actual puzzle dawns on you when you realize that the movement in the game and what you just did blocked the exit that you need to get to that's required for you to actually complete the puzzle.
Nah, Bayos camera won a McDonalds Futures award and was voted best in class by JD Power and Associates. You just don't get it.

@illmatic87:
Yep, that's where this game is shitting all over me. Had me fooled into thinking I might actually be good at solving a puzzle lol.
@uninspiredcup:
Yeah, my older bro loves Chess, he's pretty much the only person I ever play it with, but holy shit I'm terrible at it. He tries to take it easy on me too, but it just doesn't work.
I might pick up that Chess game on Steam as well. The only Chess video game I ever owned was this one.
Best cutscenes ever.
@ConanTheStoner: I feel like it maybe makes them rethink how they express themselves. At least that's what I like to believe. :)

That game actually looks quite charming, can easily see it has character. Alot of the time when it comes to these niche type games that pop up on Steam they are sterile as hell.
Chess Ultra has surprisingly good presentation, it seems to be the Crysis!!!1! of Chess, has a quite atmospheric Gothic level with creepy music and shit.
Y'all are still talkin' about Persona 5? pshh, plat'd that shit weeks ago...
I just got it last week. Was released here early this month.
No Neir or Tekken 7 on Steam Sale.

It's my first Steam Sale since I got my gaming rig.
I'm looking at my cart that's 180 bucks now...
You got this Anna
Anna Kendrick as Batgirl?
I'm in. I'm all the way in.
Get this man a cookie! This man is a genius who knows!
Steam sales are great for reminding me about all the games I bought and haven't played.
Yeah I guess you own a lotta games, anytime I look at a game on Steam I see you as the owner and I'm like "damn he owns a shit ton of games" lol
You don't own DMC3 tho :D
The only thing the Steam Sale has done for me is remind me yet again that Stardew Valley is not out for Switch yet.
I don't sit at my computer for more than a few hours a day, typically at night when I'm just winding down and not really in the mood to play anything. Those prices are pretty sweet though.
I noticed that the videos @jg4xchamp does link to us... are at least quality videos worth watching. I can't say the same for the garbage @FireEmblem_Man tried to link me in the past.
Pretty good taste in youtube videos if I may say so myself, at least the gaming section. As for myself, I mostly only use youtube for videos concerning science and literature.
@funsohng: I hope this actually happens. Right now it's just a rumor that she is trying out for the role. Fingers crossed! She would be a great fit. :) Not her first rodeo with Ben Affleck or J.K. Simmons either. The chemistry is there.

Holy sh*t I just realize that it means
