Well,considering the Bethesda acquisition they will most likely drop a new Fallout and Elder Scrolls eventually this gen(along other beth ip's I guess) and neither will be on a Playstation. If that's gonna be enough or not time will tell but it's a big deal.

• Xbox has no games
• Xbox has no first party studios
• Microsoft is selling off their Xbox division
• Xbox has no highly rated games
• Every gamer doesn't need an Xbox since they have an uber powerful gaming PC rig

Maybe. Microsoft made a bet with these acquisitions, and it is possible to roll a whole set of 1s and 2s. Unlikely by virtue of the sheer number of rolls, but possible.

@x_hedon: Meanwhile, Sony has no announced games for PS5 outside of 3 PS4 games this year, a Spiderman game next year, and a Wolverine game in 2025, which is being developed by the Miles Morales team (who literally just began pre-production on the game last january lol).

Xbox has shown you most of its roadmap for the next 3 years, and there are still plenty of things unaccounted for. All of Playstation's developers have released a large project in the last 2-3 years and their games take 5 years to make.

Xbox Games Studios(excluding Bethesda) ALONE has a lot of firepower and upcoming games for 2023 and beyond. 2022 while not heavy like last year still has a megaton like Starfield in the fall and Redfall in the spring. Yes this will be a very good year for Playstation. But.... Microsoft played all their cards early???? HELLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Their biggest aces haven't even been released yet. lol.

So a sequel, Spider-Man 2. Another sequel, Gran Turismo 7. Another sequel, Horizon 2. Another sequel, God of War 2. And they are all PS4 games? WOW.

Starfield(I'm betting on it), Fable(the what I'm hearing), Avowed and of course Elder Scrolls 6 are definitely Aces and gonna score well above 60 metacritic. Heck Perfect Dark maybe a Queen. Like I said in my other thread, this is gonna be the generation where Halo is no longer Xbox's biggest IP.

Last year with Halo infinite was just Captain America holding up his broken shield on the frontline and then backup coming from Avenger Endgame.

It wouldn't be the first time. They do have an impressive amount work going on in the background, but until those ideas manifest into great games, they are just logos on a page. And I'm not seeing any better from the other two.

Depends on whether they have any heavy hitters for 2022. They definitely have people psyched for some games but whether they'll deliver for the year will remain to be seen.

Ponies would be doing cartwheels and twerking if NaughtyDog announced a Doctor Strange game. Or a James Bond game. Or insert literally anything else.

They would not suddenly forget everything they've ever known about what videogames play like (particularly NaughtyDog videogames) like they pretend to do with Starfield/BGS, and need to "wait and see what this game is" first. It would be a god-tier super game that destroys everything "Sony greatness bay-bee!".

Both MS and SONY are sitting in a good position right now. I think both have a lot left to show. Honestly I think SONY is holding their cards closer to their chest, but MS still has more to prove at this point so they have let the cat out of the bag a little more to try and impress people now rather than wait until later. Right now MS has revealed more of what I am interested in and SONY seems to be sitting back and waiting... like they usually do early in generations.

Forza Motorsport to compete with Gran Turismo and Starfield which will be a melaton are both this year. Fable and Perfect Dark a couple years later followed by the next Quake reboot, Desthloop 2 and The Elder Scrolls to cap off the generation. Then whatever else MS has cooking that we don't know about yet.
