Perhaps our sense of humour is different. I thought it was alright. Not bad, not great. But the title was begging for the sales jab.

The skill comes into play when you do competitive time trials imo.

My brother and I used to compete for hours upon hours to get the best times in time trials on Double Dash for Gamecube. Specifically Baby Park. That level was amazing for time trials.

This is like comparing Madden with Tecmo Bowl or NBA2K with NBA Jam.

Then again, any commercail that doesn't bother to even show a single clip of the game has me worried about the game's quality.

Im decent at the game while he is fantastic and every time i find a way to screw him over we both just start laughing like crazy. We don't care who wins or loses and when it comes to Mario Kart and NSMBWii we always just play for the lols

Yeah if mario kart was filled with blood and gore i am sure it would be a much better game according to people in System Wars. I mean i love games like Gears of War and Call of Duty and Uncharted but they don't provide the great moments and lols that any nintendo games provide... Lawl @ all the Mario Kart and Ninty fanboys, it was a funny commercial and they start to take it personally when I can guarantee they haven't even played one sec of blur.

The beta was awesome and there weren't any cheap weapons like the blue shell plus it has way more modes and more depth thanks to a numerous refinements from a well established racing dev. I think Blur can easily outscore Split/second and modnation not to mention the sheeps' precious Mario Kart

that commercial was funny. I love mario kart and i played the blur beta for hours everyday it was out. To me blur is better, the online on 360with it is crazy and mad fun.

Amen to that. Mario Kart games have always penalised you for racing well which sucks IMO. Mario Kart 64 was the worst one for this. I loved it when I first played, but over the years, it's cheating has made me dislike it in general.
