If the game launch is anywhere near as broken as the beta, there will definitely be a lawsuit by investors. EA has been blatantly lying to investors about BF 2042.

Wasn't that interested in the game, so i never even read these comments before. But i do hope it launches in a clusterfuck state. I DO WANT to see a shitstorm. EA deserves to get absolutely demolished by everybody.

There hasn’t been a new solid shooter lately. Splitgate was fun for a couple of weeks as a time waster but shouldn’t be taken seriously, considering BF2042 and Halo are coming. I will be day one playing BF2042 and Halo, can’t wait. Until then, I’ve been playing New World which I’m loving!

I honestly don't think its DICE who wants this. Maybe its an addition they wanted to add, but after the backlash, they probably would have removed them/reworked them. But since daddy EA are the ones that control everything DICE does, well, i don't need to tell you why the specialists are staying.

And after seeing the new spcialists🙄Riot shield users like it was Warzone??? F*ck off......

like most anything from EA, I'll wait until it drops into the EA Access Vault..

I'll put a few hours into the game when it comes to Game Pass.

@hardwenzen: specialists would be fine if they had faction-specific skins. As it stands, it would still be shit if everyone looked the same.

It wouldn't be fine. It would be better, sure, but not what i would consider as fine. Things such as a grappling hook, syrette pistol, turrel, etc should be a perk that you can choose for any of the classes, and not a specialist. And some abilities that were shown from the newer specialists are completely broken and don't belong in a BF game. Being able to see enemies in cover through walls? gtfo of here DICE. wtf is this shit.

@hardwenzen: I mean, it could work. People could adapt. Put some equipment restrictions on these specialists and more visual clarity and I think it could work. But yeah, I'd still majorly prefer the class system over the specialist systen, but EA is clearly pushing the buttons here to sell cosmetics.

But hey, at least we'd have portal mode for those classic skins.

UI changes are good, but i don't get why the top of the screen is still covered with a massive stripe when capping zones and such. Incredibly stupid. And i can't get over the specialist that had a wall hack. Like wtf is that thing doing in a BF game and who isn't gonna abuse it? And the riot shield reflects bullets🤭Who comes out with these things??? Must be a child that plays Warzone daily. And i don't even care if the wallhack lady gets nerfed in the first month. The fact that they even thought of including something this broken in a Battlefield game tells me this team is clueless af.

Yea, and how much sense does it make seeing your bullets being reflected back at you when shooting at a dude with the riot shield? That's some arcady shit right there. And if they have this kind of broken bs in the 10 free specialists, just imagine for a sec what they'll be selling with mtx. Bet you anything there's gonna be one that turns invisible🤣

The bullets reflecting back actually does make sense provided that the angle is correct. I shit you not... this happened to me when I was a kid. My friends and I were doing target practice with a pellet gun. I had a metal trash can lid that I hit straight in the center and the bullet bounced back and hit me. It hurt, but it did not penetrate the skin. We had a good laugh afterwards. LOL

Sure it will ricochet. But what's not realistic is that there's no way every bullet will just reflect back at the source. Some will shatter, not reflect or deflect in a different direction. But in this game, going by the hit marker seen in the video, it looked like everything was reflected as if it was a laser pointing at a mirror. Its just incredibly stupid and very disappointing to see in Battlefield.

There's actual wallhacks in the game. lol
