Anyone else buying a VITA because of PS4 (or vice versa?)

I'm buying a PS4, because I have a VITA. I'm sure I will be using the PS4 on the big screen intermittently during the day or night (depending) so having that mobile screen would free me up to work on other crap while I have a session on the side of the table to distract me from what I should be doing (multitasking+procrastination ftw!). What about anyone else here? I've noticed a lot less VITA talk lately and kind of want to bring that subject up again . . . especially since this years VITA press showing was 'meh' at best (not counting excellent show floor stuff).

I wanna get a VITA because i enjoy playing with my brother's VITA. However it'll have to wait considering i have to save money for the PS4 and games and a set up....

Just borrow you're bro's VITA (if he lets you). I'm sure you guys can share it around if you've already been doing so. But if you do start fighting over it more often, I'd highly reccomend looking into used/refurbished model and try and get the cheapest one possible online. (Just double check the seller and make sure you are not being scammed. ;) )

True Story, Last December I had the choice of getting a Vita or I-pad mini. I took the ....... I-pad because I wanted to do other stuff besides play games.

A couple of games that, at least as of now, can only be played on the Vita.

A couple of games that, at least as of now, can only be played on the Vita.

If they aren't on PS4/PS3 by now, odds are they might not ever get the console port. Unlike PSP stuff, what Sony is doing going forward is the day and date cross-buy, cross-save, etc stuff with games. At least, that's what I assume.
