According to SW standards, didn't the Wii win last gen?

I think Gone Home and EU4 are technically current gen, since they released after the Wii U launched. That's a nice looking list of games, though. It would be nice if somebody could put together a full list.

played almost all of them, but most of them don't deserve a 9 tbh. that's just my opinion, the only games i enjoyed there is SC2, civil V, Path of Exile, Shogun 2, and the sims 3, Gone Home is a really boring game. you also missed Dota 2 btw

Wii was more laughable than WiiU and even XBONE, that's bad that system was. But it did won that gen.

I actually regret getting an Xbox. Didn't realise Nintendo was made for me till it was too late. But for the 8th gen I'm gona do it right. I'm getting a Wii U.

For the consolites an expansion on the PC isn't just a few more hours of gameplay and maybe a few weapons added. They are usually full games in their own right, sometimes even bigger than the original. Especially Burning Crusade which brought a fundamental change to the WoW game.

It won sales but not quality. The McDonalds of the console world :P

I feel the same way about many games that score 9 or above on all systems. There are also a lot of games that score a 7 or 8 (sometimes even 6) that I think are amazing. Really, the best metric is just to count the total number of games scoring 7 or above, because those are games that a typical person would probably find some enjoyment out of playing, and if your system has a ton of those games, it's probably worth owning because odds are you are going to really like a bunch of them.

i had all the consoles and a decent pc and played everything i want to play.

@kinectthedots: SuperBrothers Sword and Sworcery actually isn't even an exclusive. It's a port of an ipad game.
