I watched it once, and that was enough for me. The only injuries I've seen more devastating are Kevin Ware's and Shaun Livingston's. I feel like shit for the Pacers and their fans, but am glad for George's sake that he's already gotten his guaranteed max contract

George is reportedly out of surgery now and there's not any complications at this present time, which is a huge break for him given that it was a compound fracture and given how...disgusting the injury looked. He still may need surgery in the future as complications can still arise, but as it stands right now, he'll go through PT and maybe get back in time to gear up for the playoffs. He may come back earlier, but that's very unlikely.

It has to be said too: will the Pacers even survive the regular season without him?

I think they said recovery time could take 9-12 months.

I would put on my Bulls Fanboy goggles and say "YES! The division is ours!!!" But no, I feel bad for Paul George and feel very bad for the Pacers team without their star player that is out for a year. Chances are he may never play again, but I hope modern medicine will help Paul out to play again.

I was looking forward to a 3 way race for the Central division title between Bulls, Cavs and Pacers =(

He probably will play again, but will he ever be the same player is my concern.

Yeah, the Central division was looking a lot tougher! But I know that it will be even more tougher in the next 5 years if Wiggins and Parker stay with their respective teams meaning Wiggins is Lebron's successor and Parker doesn't end up leaving Milwaukee and they actually build around him. The Bulls are looking a lot like the Spurs now with depth and I'm not counting out Detroit as they have a good young cast plus Stan Van Gundy can coach. The Pacers? Yeah, with Paul George down, their future looks bleak.

They probably wished they have kept Lance now.

Looks like Wiggins is headed towards Minnesota for Love.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/11320537/kevin-love-trade-cleveland-cavaliers-minnesota-timberwolves-agreement-place

The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement in principle to trade Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, 2013 No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round draft pick, Yahoo! Sports is reporting.

According to Yahoo! sources, Love has committed to opt out of his contract in 2015 and re-sign with Cleveland next summer for five years and $120 million-plus.

Man too bad for George as the East would of been more fun to watch with Bulls, Cavs and Pacers going at it central division and for top East team.

Subject to change

1. Bulls

1. Cavs

3. Heat

4. Wizards

5. Pacers

6. Bobcats

7. Pistons

8. Knicks

Kevin Durant drops out of Team USA.

I'll be interested to see if they get as much coverage as the Heat did in the 2010-11 season when they were still learning to play with each other. I remember they had a losing streak of I think 4 or 5, maybe a bit more or less, and ESPN and NBAtv and basically everywhere went apeshit over it like it was the end of their season and they needed to break it up because "the experiment failed miserably."

Can't wait for the season, yaay.

I don't know about the Pistons, although they now have a good HC in Stan Van Gundy and a some potential young talent such as Andre Drummond and of course having Brandon Jennings will give them a good push for a playoff position. However, you forgot how good the Raptors were last year with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan and I expect them to go up higher and rival the Wizards as well as the Bobcats. I don't think the Heat will be a number 3 as not having LeBron will drop them down on the ladder with no true PG or C as they have to rely on Bosh and an aging Wade.

Why oh why is the Lakers getting so much national TV again? Didn't the NBA learn their lesson from last year? Laker games on national TV was just god awful and I predict the same thing again. Also how does Jabari Parker get no national TV time and Andrew Wiggins gets only 2(Assuming he does go to T'Wolves). No Paul George= Only 5 games. Interesting the local Bulls get 25.

Here's the breakdown:

Hawks 2

Celtics 1

Nets 4

Charlotte Hornets 2

Chicago Bulls 25

Cleveland Cavaliers 25

Dallas Mavericks 11

Denver Nuggets 5

Detroit Pistons 2

Golden State Warriors 19

Houston Rockets 17

Indiana Pacers 5

Los Angeles Clippers 23

Los Angeles Lakers 20

Memphis Grizzlies 1

Miami Heat 16

Milwaukee Bucks 0

Minnesota Timberwolves 2

New Orleans Pelicans 2

New York Knicks 16

Oklahoma City Thunder 25

Orlando Magic 0

Philadelphia 76ers 0

Phoenix Suns 10

Portland Trail Blazers 16

Sacramento Kings 3

San Antonio Spurs 19

Toronto Raptors 4

Utah Jazz 1

Washington Wizards 10

I wish I could say the NBA's summer of 2014 is almost over, but, unfortunately, I can't. We still have to sit through the entire month of September before training camps open, and we won't have any meaningful regular-season games to watch until Oct. 28, when the San Antonio Spurs tip off their title defense against the Dallas Mavericks.

The Lakers get a lot of national TV games because they are one of the most popular teams in the league. It's not hard to understand. Even when the team sucks(which it probably will this year) Laker games are still big deals on television.

It's exciting! Although I still am a bit cautious with Rose and hope he doesn't take the Preseason too seriously like last year, same for Thibs.

The Bulls will go 8-0 while the starters playing 40 minutes.

So basically. Lebron's going to look like a genius when he gets paid in two years and we'll likely see a work stoppage

I'm happy Raps kept Lowry, he was a big part of our last season. Really psychedto see the young T-Wolves team, plus LeBron in a Cavs uniform is beyond exciting :D
