[QUOTE="JohnBean42"]as a pens fan, i agree. but it wasn't just him. they need some line changes too. and stop with the F*CKING turnovers in your own end! Honest question: If they win this round, and go to the Cup as many predicted, but with Vokoun...what do you do with Fleury?Rough night for goalies.
First off, Fleury shouldn't start game 5..dead serious. Also can't see how as a contending team, they move forward with him. He is what is bringing everyone else down..he's just flat out not very good.

Price: hurt, no update on game 5. Harding: hurt. Schneider: 2 goals allowed already.

But they decided that Fleury needed a break and Vokoun played great but it also helped that the rest of the team was playing how they should've been playing.Rough night for goalies.

imo, they'll be putting fleury in game 1 of next round. but if he starts doing bad again, they'll switch him out again. if that happens, trade or draft a young promising goalie to consider as the eventual replacement. vokoun isn't the answer long term. fleury's not all that bad, either. just needs his confidence back. just look at how good he was during the regular season. they had been putting him under too much pressure with all the bad turnovers and odd man rushes. he didn't really have a chance. but last night is a good indication that they've corrected that.
86% who go up 2-0 win the series? Wowza!! "Don't underestimate the heart of a champion!" - Rudy T.!X360PS3AMD05Word. Didn't see the game but I'm glad we're going on. This was a close series throughout.
86% who go up 2-0 win the series? Wowza!! "Don't underestimate the heart of a champion!" - Rudy T.!X360PS3AMD05Two years ago the Bruins came back after falling behind 2-0 twice in the playoffs and went on to win the cup. Maybe the Kings can do the same.
86% who go up 2-0 win the series? Wowza!! "Don't underestimate the heart of a champion!" - Rudy T.!X360PS3AMD05With they could play every year. 98% of that series was spent tied or within a goal. Great low scoring hockey..could have went either way. And the Leafs have life!! Reimer stole us that game.
So was I. Hate the Penguins. :PI was hoping for the Islanders to force a game 7 but oh well.

So the Leafs force a game 7. Should be interesting since it'll be in Boston...
Canucks fans gonna hate on the Sharks but they dug their own grave in that series. Their comments were pretty prototypical Canuck whining too. I enjoyed McLellan's response.Â
As for the Ducks, it looks like Hiller isn't Fasth enough.
I'm cool with the Wings advancing. They're going to have a tough time against the Blackhawks though.
Sharks v. Kings will be a very interesting series to watch as a Sharks fan on the East coast. Both teams are all about that dominating physicality, but the Sharks were the last team to beat the Kings in the playoffs in 2011...

Bruins have had 8 Game 7's in the past 5 years. You kinda get used to them. This is so intense. How can people do this year in year out? Do you just get use to these games

My team is garbage when it matters.
Seabas989
At least your team won the cup in recent history.
Well you have a first year coach and an up and coming goalie so it will only get better. The Bruins are stuck with Clod Julien and Chara.Wow overtime for the Bruins/Leafs. If the Bruins come out jittery or as bad as they were earlier in the game, they're done. Toronto all but flopped over and died in the 3rd though.
They had all that false hope.My team was blown out at home ice but it must really suck to be a Leafs fan right now.
Seabas989
The Leafs were up 4-1 then let 3 consecutive goals in the third and 1 in overtime because their defense (and offense) stopped doing anything remotely useful. Just about every goal looked easy to block or stop but their positioning was all over the place so they ended up relying on Reimer alone.
Great start for the Pens and the Kings maybe they could keep it up even though I'm rooting for the Sharks in the Kings and Sharks series; I like both teams since I like most teams in the West since my favorite team doesn't really play them a lot I don't mind if they win.
Well, I've had time to recover from Monday. Just...I...wow. I was worried at 4-1 still. Being a Leafs fan my whole life, you don't take any lead for granted. And I was right. The fact we're the first team to ever blow that kinda lead im GM 7 stings. The whole thing stings. We'll be back though. Reimer proved himself this season as a #1, maybe consideration for Sochi, and other than the 3rd goal, I can't fault him for the collapse. His rebound control stunk, but when up 4-2 and puck Boston's zone with under 2 minutes..team has to close it out.Â
Kessel proved himself against Boston finally, and have a good core of players. Just need that first line C and a better D than Fraser/Koska/Holzer. Don't want Bozak back for the money he wants...gotta extend Kessel and Phaneuf before they hit FA in 2014 and hopefully sign MacCarthur. I'd like an extenssion for McClement too.
Well, go Kings. Just isn't the same.
The Sharks were fined $100,000 for public comments by GM.
The fine was issued for violation of League Rules that prohibit formal team statements to the media during the 48-hour period following a disciplinary decision. The Rule calls for an automatic fine of $25,000. The Sharks were fined an additional $75,000 under Article 6 of the League's Constitution due to the inappropriate nature of the comments.
