The impeachment process will not end with the removal of Trump. So when it fails, are you going to blame Russia when Trump wins again? Do you think Trump will be a shoe in if the democrats fail to remove him?

I did. I also read the title. It's incorrect. You're wrong.

@HoolaHoopMan: It’ll fail and Trump will be democratically re-elected in 2020. Especially if this crop of yahoos is all the Democratic Party has to offer their supporters.

The blame will fall on the republicans who vote against the removal despite the mountain of evidence against him that will be made public.

Remember, you can disagree without being disagreeable. The golden rule is *not* difficult to follow.

-

The Democrats need to back someone who can reach across the aisle, reach independents, and manage to appeal to their Democratic bases. I don't believe it would be a shoe-in when this inevitable circus comes to pass, but Trump does relish in this limelight.

Reach across the aisle to Republicans while also appealing to the Democratic base? Unfortunately, I don't believe such a candidate or even politician exists. When you try to please everyone you end up in fact pleasing no one. Trump won without needing to reach across the aisle, so it can be done, and he got less votes than his opponent in 2016.

The events of the Obama years has shown the Republicans don't want to work with the Democrats, and that's fine. Obama tried and it went nowhere.

If it ends up there's irrefutable evidence pointing towards an impeachable offense, and Republicans vote the opposite of that, then it's there fault.

The real question is why are you calling out the right for potential dereliction of duty?

Who would I blame? Probably Senate Republicans.

But you should check out the hilarity occurring in Twitter right now because of the NYT polls that came out. They are losing their minds.

Eat that Warren.

I've all but prepared myself for the fact that we will have Trump for another four years.

So I won't really blame anyone but ourselves for electing Trump in the first place. Until we find out definite, for-real proof that foreign powers literally got him votes directly, I don't think we can really blame anyone else.

I just hope we wake up from our drunken stupor and view Trump as the accidental, drunken hookup we regret for the rest of our lives and take as a lesson to not vote emotionally again.

This impeachment isn't about any actual crime, its political theater for the democrats to try and get as much negative press towards trump going into the 2020 election.

Mark my words they will drag this along as slowly as possible, its not a bad strategy tbh, most voters dont pay to close attention, but they know impeachment is a bad thing, the dems want the words Trump and impeachment to coincide.

Its all about 2020

@n64dd: right? Even when listening to those who support impeachment on the left.....there is no clear message of what they are actually outraged about or what offense they think Trump is guilty of? I guess its "asking for information/dirt on a political rival"? But from the phone call I dont even see that, lets say that is what the phone call was, what law is broken? And im curious if so what does that mean for these companies like fusion gps which are litteraly paid to do opposition research of canidates running from other candidates.

None of it matters though, truth is they just want trump out by any means necessary, they will go with whatever strategy the DNC gives them. They have wanted this since 2016, they were hoping it was going to be the mueller investigation, did not work.... so now they are doing it this way.

The impeachment could be for Trump eating pizzia backwards and they would still be for it, its actually sad. If they had any faith in thier canidates or policy they wouldnt need to resort to suck weak political tactics. But I really doubt this is going to sway independents or moderates, it just makes the democrats look desperate imo.

I wont be surprised if Trump breaks 300 electoral votes after all the shanannigans are said and done. Its ridiculous. I have friends who arent even into politics talking about how stupid it is.

Doesn’t matter to me. Trump will go down in history as one of very few presidents to be impeached, removed or not. The shitstain leaves his shit stain on history. It’s going to eat him up inside.

There is no evidence. The transcript of the conservation is already public. The latest news suggests Joe Biden has broken several laws that could put him in jail.

There are also transcripts of the testimony that Congress has had to date which do nothing but confirm the whistle blower's statement and suggest that the memo the white house released of the phone call is missing important information. Also, the memo itself is really bad for Trump, even in its current state.

Well, now that I've read more of the complaints listed against him, I have some thoughts. I think there is a high likelihood he will be impeached by the house. I also believe, that the senate will not have enough votes to remove him from office.

While, he may not be removed from office, I still think the act of impeachment is worthwhile in this case. You can debate the legality of it and such, but his behavior was inappropriate for a sitting US president. It's important that people in this country know that there are consequences for inappropriate actions. I think an open and transparent impeachment hearing will shine some light on that and I don't think the public will react negatively to it once the facts are out in the open.

It doesn't matter if he gets impeached, because there won't be enough actual evidence of wrong doing to actually get him removed. This whole impeachment thing just makes the Dems look like little cry babies and I look forward to more lib tears come 2020. Hate him or love him, Trump is entertaining and he trolls the haters so well lol.

Hmm...…..apparently the Reps are okay with a president breaking laws and feel there should be no consequences. Pretty sad.

You two are correct about the strategy, but you are incorrect about the message. There is a clear message - he broke the law. You know it and so does everyone else, so I a not sure why you play pretend to cover the fact that he tried bribe a foreign government to investigate his political opponent for his personal political gain. Kooks like gym jordan will do that during his senate trial, because that's his job. You two just look like goofballs doing the same.

No i don't know it lol because you still have no concrete evidence, but you can keep pretending you do, if there was something there that proved this for sure i promise you the inquiry wouldn't have been split between partisan lines. I promise you 2 democrats wouldn't have voted no either. You sound like the goofball to me. You just see what you wish was there.

The whistle blower is not whistle blower but a leaker. Adam Shiff is a fact witness and need to be questioned under oath. The president committed no impeachable crime but Joe Biden sure did. Beside that this whole charade is trying to get ahead of the Barr-Durham investigation that has now turned into a criminal investigation and there are a number of individuals in he Obama administration that are facing possible indictment that could possibly lead to the Obama oval office.

@n64dd: It’s not about getting Trump out of office. Right now there are a dozen GOP senators in contentious states who are attempting to sit on the fence to avoid angering their suburban moderates and trump cultists.

Impeachment forces them to put their name down on a simple yes or no stance. Once they pick a side, the Dems can stamp it on their forehead in 2020 and run it on a loop in political ads.

GOP will lose everything. I just voted and the line was all the way out to the street. A handful of angry old people standing in a huge line of young kids. 2020 is going to be a bloodbath.

@Baconstrip78: So you’re using impeachment as a tool

To remove senators. Glad to hear you guys like abusing power to figure out who people are instead of just using google.

Be mad at your own party. Hillary bought the dnc and sabotaged bernie last election, then we she lost, she couldn’t even come out and thank your supporters.

Bookmarked thread for faulty TITLE. Impeachment won't fail. He will be impeached.
