If Trump loses his Presidency this year do you think his followers will retaliate with violence?

We have seen it in the past so I can definitely see it happening it's pretty f*cked up that this is something that is more possible then not.

No, I don't think so. Republicans are many things but violent isn't one of them. They do talk alotta smack though. But as mama always said: "The doggies that bark the loudest are the ones that don't bite."

If he loses legitimately? Like Horgen said, maybe a few but probably not widespread. If he's somehow miraculously ousted by another impeachment or scandal, prior or post election, would he do everything to paint as a coup by the do nothing evil demodogs?

I've little doubt more than a few of his cult would rally to his side in violence. Trump has laughably painted himself and somehow convinced his followers that he is the poor little victim, the savior against the evil corrupt establishment swamp, the bastion of honesty, the bulwark of truth against the unstoppable liberal media machine, the voice of the people. As any con man excels at in identifying underlying resentment in a populace and leveraging it towards his own interests. People actually dumb enough not to be able to see through this bullshit (like that picture) would come out in droves to defend him like rabid dogs.

I've actually never dealt with right leaning protestors in California, only antifa and BLM whom both created havoc at times. I expect a 0.01% percent chance of any violence from right leaning groups unless it's from a few lone crazy person(s). Definitely won't see any looting, or rioting against law enforcement.

I'm sure they'll take to the streets in their motorized scooters and roll in protest.

Susan Collins is already getting death threats because she voted against Trump.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/collins-is-getting-death-threats-after-impeachment-acquittal/ar-BBZMO1B

Republican Sen. Susan Collins says she's getting death threats after her vote to acquit President Donald Trump at his impeachment trial, saying three of them were deemed “credible” and are being investigated.

He won’t lose. Trump encourages everyone to vote for him. Democratic candidates are elitist and use the wrong gender pronoun and find yourself blacklisted.

I think he might win but... If he loses I predict an increase in mass shootings and hate crimes. Plus Trump will not concede the defeat and drag the all process in the most shameful way.

Probably an uptick in mass shootings for a while, but I don't think there will be pro-Trump riots or anything.

In the past 12 years, there were no riots when Obama defeated McCain and Romney, but there were plenty of riots when Trump beat Clinton. A few fringe people on the right made some threats and vile statements, but it pales in comparison to what has happened recently in response to Trump being in the White House. This verbal incident happened a few days ago at a college campus.

There were plenty of incidents that have happened since Trump's election that targeted suspected Trump supporters. From the mentally disabled teen that was tortured shortly after Trump's election, the frequent attacks by Antifa, to the people that shot at ICE facilities (the shooting that happened in Takoma also involved incendiary devices and resulted in the killing of the attacker by law enforcement) it's not looking good for Trump's opponents when talking about violent reactions to the democratic process.

Then there is this guy that was just arrested for driving through a Republican voter registration table in Jacksonville, FL. yesterday. If he was wearing a MAGA or KAG hat and ran over a Democratic voter registration table we would probably have a 200+ post thread about it by now. Outside of this forum, several celebrities would be tweeting about how this is another example of "Trump's America" (similar to what happened after the Covington incident before the rest of the facts came out) after it made the top story on CNN and similar networks.

Are there violent Trump supporters? Sure, there are going to be a few. But it's more likely the exception than the rule. Charlottesville is probably going to be mentioned, and for that, I raise the Scalise shooting. This post isn't an attempt to paint Trump supporters as angels (many are far from it), this is me telling you that you shouldn't throw stones from a glass house.

You're telling me that happened after Trump won and the republicans had both the senate and the house?! And they killed someone regardless of essentially holding all the power?

You know, actually, it kind of does seem like violence is a possibility if Trump loses the election. My initial thought really was, "No, probably not," but after thinking about it for a few minutes, well......yeah, it kinda does seem like a possibility.

I didn't say otherwise (worth noting that the police officer at the beginning didn't know the motivation) and thus you didn't really address my original comment. Thanks though for your "both sides are equally bad" point. Totally enlightening.

Absolutely not. You have no basis whatsoever for making that accusation. Whenever Trump loses in court or in Congress he follows the ruling.

On the other hand Clinton supporters responded with violence and continue to use violence against Trump supporters. Many call themselves the "resistance" and Clinton encourages them. If you'd like I could list hundreds of physical assaults against Trump supporters committed by democrats and Clinton supporters.

If you are concerned about violence, look at the history of how communist or socialist candidates and governments act when people oppose them. Look at the leaders like Castro, Hitler, Stalin, Chavez, etc that people like Sanders look to for inspiration. One of Sanders employees is talking about Gulogs and reeducation centers for people who dare to think for themselves. Stay away from anyone espousing socialist policies like the NAZI (National Socialist German Workers Party)

@warmblur: In case you haven't noticed (I mean it's not like it isn't blatantly obvious by now) but the only ones who've been consistently violent since Trump took office have been leftists.

But your question is moot. Trump isn't going to lose. The democrats are running a bolshevik.

I'll add that i've got no dog in this race since i'm not American. These are just my observations.

It is a bait thread and flame baiting is a violation of rule 1 of the board rules. Look at his other comments on the thread trying to bait others into saying something ban worthy. "What are you going to do if he loses? Burn a lib?" And then "question though, would you take a bullet for Trump?" Which clearly have nothing to do with the topic and are only to elicit a response. And Sn0man, someone will interpret that last photo of yours as being "transphobic" so it wouldn't be surprising if you get the ban for taking the bait, and not the baiter himself for baiting.

The right wing are not violent.

The liberals aka younger voters tend to be a LOT more violent with riots such as Antifa, BLM and the violence they do all over the country in colleges and universities.

When Trump wins, you will see riots all over the USA. That’s the liberal way. They meltdown and young people are always looking for any excuse to destroy things.

IF Trump lost(he won’t), the right wing wouldn’t care lol. They would just carry on living like they always do. Right wing tends to be older and smarter. They just accept it and move on.

The democrats are delusional and they live in this weird world where they are always perpetually triggered and upset. They need help. They have it in their minds that Trump is killing their dogs and babies or whatever they think.

They are brainwashed by CNN and other liberal media.

Yeah I'm more concerned with antifa's antics than any other group of lunatics out there.

Because milkshakes hurt one's pride so much.

Ya, ANTIFA is only about milkshakes.

Which is why intelligence agencies deem them as a domestic terrorist org.

Ignoring the fact that it is a form of physical assault, nothing is stopping people from putting poison inside of them. If I’m about to get hit with a milkshake how am I supposed to know it isn’t mixed with something that will make me sick?

Not to mention your ability to hit someone with a milkshake is a great test run for seeing how lax their security is so the next thing they are hit with is a bullet instead.

The same "intelligence" agencies that have been involved in installing authoritarian regimes in countries with socialist movements/rebellions in order to leverage control over their resources.

I can't imagine why they'd want to foster ill-will against an anti-fascist organizations.

So actual, factual Nazis, literally calling for the deaths of entire groups of people, don't deserve a dairy shower? Or even a knuckle sandwich?

We fought a war about this back in the 1940's.
