@r-gamer: yeah it was pretty weird to see all those people on stage and think the next president could be someone who is not a rapist, liar, and criminal.
Can't let that happen!!

I am not afraid of the @NRA. As president, if Congress doesn’t pass gun safety legislation in my first 100 days, I will take executive action to keep our nation safe. #DemDebatehttps://t.co/g6zqmH99H1

She sounds like she's in a power trip already.
@Nuck81: Better then someone who wants to tax me into bankruptcy to pay for everything for everyone else.. disarm us and make us fully reliant on the government for everything from healthcare to education.
Yeah a rapist is much better. I get it Republicans are pro rape and anti morality. That's been established.
You are getting taxed to bankruptcy. Trump's tax cuts were a raise to the middle class. Tariffs are a tax to the middle class.
@Nuck81: I'm not pro rape at all. That just sounds like absolute paranoia but that's generally what the left has ran on for the past 3 years.
What concerns me most are the policies that the candidates want to pass. Because I'd hate to break it to you but if you're looking to a politician for some kind of moral high ground then you're going to be disappointed.
Bottom line under Trump I received a tax cut and I would be considered middle class. I doubt I'll be getting any tax cuts after free healthcare, free college, reparations... etc.
My chose for president by just looking at that Twitter post, I would pick Harris or Yang.
@Nuck81: You forget how unfair it is towards everyone who has paid or never had student loan.
Trying to explain the benefit of not being dragged down by student debt is difficult to someone who doesn't have it, or for other reasons do not want to understand it. I don't know how much the average person pays a month in student debt, but getting rid of that would most likely result in increased saving and spending on other things. Consume would increase and thus drive economic growth. Which everyone would benefit from.
@horgen: between myself and my wife, I've paid off over $50,000 in student loans.
And using it as a reason for saying that others should have to pay such large sums of money is BS imo. It sucks yes, I can see that, but for the nation the benefits will be much bigger.

@horgen: absolutely. Ending student debt would be a tremendous boost to the economy.
Just think what else I could have done with $50,000 in the late 2000s.
How many millions of people my age and younger have the same amount of debt?
But nah, let's give 15 billion to farmers and build walls to keep out brown people.
@Nuck81: Bought a nicer car or house... Or consume more of this and that.
And higher education is an essential requirement to stay competitive on the global stage. Someone will have to foot the bill.
Kamala Harris raised her hand when asked if she'd get rid of private health insurance, but says Friday she misunderstood the question. https://t.co/MbGuDg3BFo

Right.
Quite convenient. Different day different flavor.
I really don't understand the mental gymnastics behind the student debt argument. Why would you want to subsidize debt rather than reduce the cost in the first place? Something like over 90% of America's college administrative staff is left-wing, so given the fact that they must surely be wealthy and that debt subsidization would only benefit them wouldn't making them voluntarily take less cash in be the most reasonable course of action?
Both debate nights were a mix of sham and embarassing acting performances. If we had a drinking game where we'd drink a glass of vodka each time a contestant actually answered a direct question honestly over the span of the almost 7 hours the debates lasted we'd go home sober.
I have to say though, Beta O'Rourke's spanish moments were so embarassingly bad they were entertaining to watch. I really can't imagine for the life of me how someone could think that appearing to a debate on national television completely unprepared to give answers on any of the issues that one could imagine would be the subjects of the debate could work, as long as he'd give a handful of pre-formulated answers in spanish.
