Squall. He's more mature, has a sharper sense of justice and overall is more skilled than Zack.

I think Zack deserves this one.

The majority of the people didn't know who was Squall until Kingdom Hearts came out.

Alhtough VIII is my favorite Final Fantasy, I like Zack jut a little more than Squall.

I like Zack but Squall is Way cooler. To me He was more heroic because of his Heart change, love for Rinoa and his Freinds, and Being Deticated to the task at hand. Even at times he felt that he could not be a leader, he had the hidden traits of a leader and thats why so many people looked up to him for advice but his Antisocial attitude kept him from doing so.

squall is way more powerfull, he fights a sorceress that can FREEZE TIME- zack never had to deal with those odds.

...Ultimecia can FREEZE TIME, squall beats her, squall wins.

zack is cool and all. but squall is just better. mainly cuz he dnt die. and he was awesum and prty strng in dissidia.

I've always thought Squall was a cooler Final Fantasy character than Zach was. That said, In a fight, I think Zach probably would win.

Ah but there's the crux of the issue. One can be emotional in a way that displays itself as being a loner.

Despite the story showing Squall making changes due to his feelings for Rinoa, he never actually took down that wall that kept people from getting in to his personal space. That wall he always kept up very much gave me an "everybody is an idiot and nobody understands me" vibe. Of course, you may have interpreted his actions differently, but considering he never actually talks about what's going on in his head, it's all sort of left up to the player.

In the end, he's way too closed off for me to enjoy him as a heroic character, and refusing to get close to anybody makes him feel like an emo little pansy that would rather be alone in a corner than actually be a man and tell people what the hell is going on in his head.

The first missin you attack that indian village with the sole reason being given that they dont want to join shinra so insead you just take over theyr land yay, are we being educated on the birth of amerika here?

the second one is that farmers village with the apple trees or whatever they were growing that was just plain genocide.

You are either talking about the Wutai war ,or the destruction of Angeal's vilage -don't remember the name-...

1. Zackwas being raised a SOLDIER-since he was 14-....Therefore , he was too narrow-minded to openly queston Shinra...Even so , he tried to negotiate with Wutai soldiers ,before he attacked...

If you're talking about the village , there were no villagers there. Genesis and his clone army , had killed them all when they first wentthere...So ,after the bombarding only the houses were destroyed , no villagers were killed...

PS : This whole thread is offtopic , i 'm wondering no one mentioned...What do FF characters have to do in a PSP forum ?
