I agree. FF8 and FF9 were so much better than FF7. I think there is an incredible amount of nostalgia for that game, but that doesn't mean it's all that good. I've tried several times to get into it, but never have. FF8 and 9 I've played through multiple times. We'll never get remakes, but it would be nice to see them on the PSN store.

As much as I would love to see a remake, I won't get my hopes up too high. On the note of FF remakes, I would like to see a remake of Final Fantasy VII & Final Fantasy VIII. Sweet!

but if they remake it, or put it on PS Store,

I wouldn't mind buying it XD, remake would be fine but i prefer Versus XIII and XIII 1st

Ah! very well done. Final Fantasy VIIis one of my favorite games of all time but, I don't know if I'd like a remake. I love my classic games and what makes them classics is that they remain untouched (or remade) if you will. I think some of the magic will vanish if I play FFVII and then play a remake. In some cases though it does work (take a look at the Space Invader games-that works well) but, a masterpiece such as this just won't do. It would be like altering the Mona Lisa! the painting is a timeless beauty and Final Fantasy VII is a timeless gem.

I could have sworn just a couple weeks ago there was a post that showed an article stating the PS store is going to have FFVII, MGS, and Resident Evil available for download. If that's the case there is no reason to remake the game. If they were going to remake there would be no reason to release the original on PSN

I think putting Final Fantasy VII on the PSN would be enough, I don't think it needs a remake. A well done PS3 spin-off would be alright I guess but I don't think they should tamper with the classics.

I'd only play a remake if they updated the design a little. I didn't play it until recently and I found the combat boring and slow (even compared to earlier FFs) and the poor translation coupled with lack of sound effects / voice acting made it a little dull and lacking in atmosphere. In understand it was good for it's time, but I also played Star Ocean 2 (the PSP rerelease), which came out the same year, for the first time recently too and had a lot more fun with. It was just more fun of a game to me.

I wouldn't mind a remake since FFVII is in my top 5 RPG's played. Recently playing the game makes me think how awesome it would be if it had current gen graphics. Maybe if Sony fund the project SE would be more inclined to make it, come on Sony! DO IT! The sales will be through the roof and into the stratosphere worldwide.
