i enjoy multiplayer when i want to take a break from the main story. but i like single player games a lot better than multiplayer games. dont forget about dead space, and littlebigplanet wasnt that bad of a single player experience as well.

[QUOTE="hillelslovak"]When you really look at it, we buy games for the experience. I buy for single player first. I want an engrossing, memorable experience. I'll gladly pay 60 for a well made single player game anyday.Vyse_Legends

Really only buy a game for its single player game play. Just can not get into multiplayer.

well i thinnk 60 bucks is bit expensive for a game but then again the rewarding experience for an example fallout 3 is worth every penny. But multiplayer help with replay ability, but still single player are worth full price for an example mgs4 i dont play online but I have finish the single player campaing 20 times lol.

goyolap
even though u beat 20 times, the GAMEPLAY portion of MGS4 is now 8 hrs.. MGS4 solo capaign is so empty is not even funny I really enjoyed the God Of War .games but why pay $50 for a 15 hr experience? God Of War 3 looks like it will be another 15hr experience but will cost $60.

its good than multiplayer.....

private gameplay and no more badass player who say you are suck to play on multi games

too much pride on gaming may it may suck....

you can experiment it..like those who really like it with a challenge....no summon or something

its your own world with many possiblities

I dont see why they shouldnt be. Time is taken to create both, software and graphics designed. Its about revenue not gameplay

I do wonder about bioshocks 2 multiplayer thing and how it will affect the game. It did affected the 2nd condemned game and its sp lengeth. Any game with less then 7 hour length sp, shouldn't be worth the 60 dollars. Sure cod4 single-player was awesome but it was way too short. if games like The Darkness didn't have a multiplayer, it could have a better and longer singpler player.

I would much rather pay $60 for a good, long single player than a multiplayer game but that's just my opinion.

As a single player RPG junkie, I don't need real people, just all my friends in Persona 4.

The single player game isn't going anywhere. I don't mind if a single player game has a multiplayer option either. The games you just listed are great examples of the single player experience. Plus, you have games like God Of War III and Heavy Rain coming out I'd say the single player game future looks bright.

A quality SP is always more memorable than MP. Look at Bioshock, Deus Ex, Half Life etc. No multiplayer (although Half Life does have counterstrike I suppose). Then look at Halo and Resistance. They have decent MP's but neither have particulary strong SP's.
