Believe it or not. I really did pity you and tried to help.
I was trying to look past the 'public persona' as you put it (something you, admittedly, were unable to do).
I DID feel bad for you. I saw someone unable to handle an attack by many and tried to help.

But then you acted the way you did and used your position here in a way that was...hmm....unprofessional IMO. So lesson learned. No real harm done. I was able to learn more about you, so not all bad

But, continuing your point, it was/is very easy to tell that you were (and/or are) bullied. That is why i pitied you/tried to help.
