Who has the more annoying fanbase? Harry Potter or Twilight?

I wouldn't know; if there are any overtly annoying Twilight/Harry Potter fans out there, I definitely haven't met them. And I don't really want to make an effort into researching and assessing the degree of irritation emitted by either group for comparisons. While I do think that Harry Potter is highly overrated, I haven't read Twilight and thus I can't make a distinguished judgment.

1. Because I love Harry Potter and wouldn't like to find myself annoying

and

2. Harry Potter movies are actually watchable.

Hahaha Twillight fans are epicly annoying, but I hard ever met one, because my school is an all boys school and almost everyone hated Twillight.

You should've seen what local TV showed here, when the Potter film tickets were being sold for the premier. Tons of adults dressed as Potter and his pals. Sick..sick..sick.. At least Twilight fans don't dress as the main characters. At least, I haven't seen that sort of hype yet.

Twilight of course. I went to watch New Moon with my girlfriend (at the time), and the girls watching were screaming and yelling when Taylor got on screen. I was like "whatkjfk;ajdkfajd;kf?" It's to be expected but seriously... Harry Potter Fans...I haven't met any annoying fans yet.

You miss the point. How can you dress up as Edward or Bella? Oh... you can't. :P Harry Potter actually has COSTUMES in the movie....

Have you seen Twilight films? do not want. Robert Pattinson was way cuter in Harry Potter 4 as Cedric Diggory than he is as Edward.

No contest, Twilight. At least half the school didn't come to school wearing Harry Potter shirts the day after HP7 Part 1 released.

I'm going with Harry Potter. For the most part Twilight fans know their obession is mindless fluff. Harry Potter fans try to insist that theirs is actually good writing and to me that's much more annoying.

Uh...not they don't. Most of them think Twilight is the best book to movie...movie ever made. Have you seen which movies have won the last three MTV movie awards, including lead/supporting actor and actress? Hell, I think it happened at the Scream Awards this year.

HP is full of good writing.

Meh....when all is said and done neither series is great literature. Though I do see the Potter movies.:PLJS9502_basic

I beg to differ. People have written pretty deep and well articulated analyses on the Potter series. There's actual thought behind the symbolism, the motifs, and the timing and presentation of the events. Lev Grossman from Time put it the best: "Whereas Rowling painstakingly takes pieces of a picture and strings them together painstakingly, and pulls the string at the end, Meyer simply lays out a linear and somewhat predictable plot." I'm paraphrasing that.
