ugh god asking religious questions is like asking if you wanna discuss something till the day u die without any rest in between...

personally im undecided. the way i see it, the concept of god was made up by man itself, but there's no way to truly disprove its existence. but after having taken a philosophy class, i do believe that if you think god is all 3 of these: omnipotent, omniscient, and wholly good, then u are wrong. it just doesn't add up. if you can somehow prove to me that there is evil on this earth and yet god is "wholly good" (as in 100% good), then u deserve something more praise-worthy than the nobel peace prize or something.

whoever i offended by saying "u are wrong", well im not sorry. but feel free to argue.

[QUOTE="XilePrincess"]I believe in a god, but not Christianity, if that makes sense.MuddVader

if you believe in God, (and im assuming you believe in the Christian God, and you believe he has the power to send you to hell and you believe everything like that) why would you not be a Christian?

--on topic--

Im Christian btw

Because maybe she doesnt believe in the bible and the things it says, but she believes in a creator.

Edit: By the things it says, I mean the stories.

well yeh i see. but still, being Christian doesnt require you to believe all those stories. you have to accept Jesus. and if she does believe in a creator and she still does believe God can cast you to hell, like i do, then wouldnt it be smart to believe?

[QUOTE="Pyro767"]Makes perfect sense, Christianity has not only been commercialized, but almost demonized as well.Pyro767

I like where this is going. :D

I'm just saying that Christianity has strayed so far from what it was originally that it would make God weep.

I agree. I'm a "Christian," but agree with the previous post. The church, (people, not a building) has wondered

a long way from the first century church in Acts. I consider myself a follower of Jesus, and try to distance myself from

mainstream "Christianity" which has, in my opinion becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Christianity is a relationship with Yeshua, not a "Religious Practice."

Actually that is one of the aspects of being a Christian. As a Christian, I know that there are other things that Christ commands. So being God fearing is actually right, but it isnt all of the things that God requires of us.

I dont think you understand ther term Agnostic.
Atheist and Agnostic dont belong on the same poll option.

I'm Agnostic in any case.

Edit: Thinking on it, I guess they do, but its just not the same thing. Whatever, either way I think Agnostic and Atheist should have had their own poll option.
To me Agnostic is more like the Nuetral option that you gave than Atheist.

MuddVader

If I could edit the poll I would replace Neutral/undecide with Agnostic.

I'm a skeptical agnostic. I won't deny the possibility of a power or force beyond my comprehension that is responsible for my existence, but nor can I accept such a power or force without tangible, irrefutable evidence that I can understand.

I believe there could be a god but not creationism thats just silly. god simply set things in motion over millions of years. not really sure if I believe the big bang either. i believe nearly everything can be explained by science In time. if god exist theres no way he said poof and everything was in just seven days...no he made it happen over time Realisticly. also why big bang theory sounds bad you know its kinda the same thing poof and it was...ya know science and religion coexist if... god even exist that is. Oh one more thing if he does exist that doesnt mean I worship him or any god I just adknowledge the possibility that he could exist

I'm Baptist (not southern), and believe in its beliefs (including separation of church and state, and Religious Freedom).

I also don't see the point of baptising children, as it is their parents decision and not theirs.

I am undecided.

I'm extremly offended that you included Atheists and Agnostics on the same line. They are vastly different. So, I was forced to choose other. I might as well align my self with budhism at this point.

EMOEVOLUTION

Including them in the same poll option doesnt equate them in any way. Its just a categorisation.

And I see why it could be innacurate. But offensive?

Should a Protestant be offended because the option of Christianity includes all branches and only mentions Catholicism by name at that?!?!

Baptist believe baptising children is worthless as it is not the child's religious choice. We believe in baptising adults who have accepted God on their own accord (free will).

atheists and agnostics aren't vastly different. Actually the vast majority of atheists are of the agnostic type. Agnoticism only means that one does not believe there is proof for God either way. A theist is one that believes in God and an atheist is one that question the valildity of God. There are agnostic atheists as well as agnostic theists.

I believe in God, and would consider myself sorta Catholic. I don't trust what the Vatican says based on their history and intentions. It's hard to trust religion completelyTBH but I truly believe in God and His purpose for us.

Agnostic-atheist.However, I usually just tell most people"atheist" because most wouldn't understand anything other than a simple stance on this subject. Replying to foxhound_fox, what do you think would change the social stereotype of atheists and agnostics? I'd like anyone to answer.
