A lot of arguments kinda for the rioting is about how its the poor standing up and stuff like that. I'm sorry but running around in a nice nike track suit with your cell phone out and kicking in glass with your nice pair of boots is NOT poor.

I've been wondering what is going to happen to these rioters a week from now, once everything has quietened down. Surely they can't continue living as neighbours to those whom they stole from. The tensions between them and their neighbour-victims would be too high, and they've already proven that they don't deserve (and cannot be trusted) to live in civilised societies. Two hundred years ago they would have loaded them all onto boats and sent them off to the ends of the world, if they didn't just mass execute them all. Nowadays...what's the norm - fining them? Imprisoning them? Forcing them into community service? These options just don't seem like they will resolve any of these problems.

Government are allowing any homeowner or business owner to seek compensation, even if uninsured. Good move.

[QUOTE="trick_man01"]

Looks like Iran is calling upon the UN to intervene over the British authorities' "violent suppression" of the "protests".Deano

ahahahaa

oh man that is maximum trolling by iran.

but honestly he makes a point. I've never liked how western countries are so quick to praise civilian revolts against other govts. it doesn't like as the "will of the people" for "democracy".

rule of the thumb every country needs to stay out of other countries politics.

It's not like Iran is a stranger to international intervention and meddling in its own way.

Vast majority of the rioters attacked places they weren't even from. Doubt that element is going stop anyone.
