As long as we get full episodes of 7-9, I'm fine with spin offs. The more SW the better, IMO. Wouldn't mind a movie revolving around the old republic.

That's the kind of spin-off I expect, along the lines of the video games.

Speaking of Revan and the Old Republic, it would be great to see a movie about the Mandalorian wars, and possibly a movie version of KOTOR III to complete the series.

I personally think that the Star Wars franchise should be retired. The new movies won't be as good as the originals, and they'll most likely be on par with Episodes 1-3 which were  some of the worst movies ever made. It's time to let Star Wars rest in peace instead of milking a dead corpse.

I think it's funny that people are already judging the movies to be bad only after the confirmation of the idea.

So you're content with letting the Star Wars franchise get killed to the point that nothing can be done to save it? As much as I want Star Wars to succeed, It's not going to happen. If Episodes 1-3 are any indication of the direction Star Wars is going, then It's best I think to retire it and save some self respect.

Well, I feel sorry for you if you truly think Episodes 1-3 were good. They represented everything that's wrong with the movie industry and it also showed how you can kill the Star Wars franchise, literally.

Remember one very important thing: George Lucs will not be writing anymore Star Wars movies. That can only be an improvement.

True, the new movies can't possibly be any worse than Episodes 1-3 since George Lucas won't be directing. Still, It's not like the movies are going to instantly become good just because George Lucas isn't involved. I got burned by Episodes 1-3 so I'm not overly excited about new Star Wars movies.

Been meaning to watch those. But still, given that Lucas isn't involved anymore, it stands a fairly decent chance of getting better.

The few things I know from the expanded Star Wars universe are from the Cartoon Network show, a couple of video and tabletop games and, more than anything, Wikias, but I actually like what I've been exposed to. So, yeah, bring those spin offs; my body is ready.

I'm not sure how to feel about an origins of Han movie. But a Film revolving around the Fett, F* yeah. As long as they don't turn them into straight to DVD type films.

I actually would really love to see a SW film all CG. I found this vid made by a fan from all game cinematics and it solidified my belief that it could work.

I think it's far to early to be discussion this number of film, but I bet this will whet the appetites of the Star Wars fan culture.

Bob Fett getting his own movie?

Hey as long as it has good production value I am down for anything Disney wants to do that stays true to the universe.

I very much enjoy Star War and I would actually enjoy a ton of new Star Wars content coming out.

Exactly. As long as they maintain the high production values that SW deserves and is known for, and not just some forgettable summer movie trash, I have high hopes.

I find the hate on 1-3 to be mostly undeserved, imo. I also felt that the Ewoks were far more annoying than Jar-Jar Binks. But what do I know? *shrugs*

[QUOTE="dave123321"]How did you feel about episodes 1-3, pirate?Ring_of_fire

On their own, I thought they were decent enough. They don't stand up for the originals though.

I find the hate on 1-3 to be mostly undeserved, imo. I also felt that the Ewoks were far more annoying than Jar-Jar Binks. But what do I know? *shrugs*

I think the hate is considerably overserved. Are they up to par with the classics, no. That doens't mean they aren't good movies on their own. I dissagree with you on the last part. Ewoks kick the crap out of gungans.

Disney's history with spinoffs leaves me a bit worried.

I hope they are good. They can't exchange quality for quantity, even if that would probably make them much richer.

[QUOTE="Nuck81"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]Exactly. As long as they maintain the high production values that SW deserves and is known for, and not just some forgettable summer movie trash, I have high hopes.

Pirate700

If your post was intended to be highly sarcastic then well done. If you were being serious then

Elaborate please.

The Prequel trilogies are the very definition of Forgettable summer movie trash. They are just very mediocre movies. Poor Dialogue, over done fake looking SFX, and poor acting. When Samuel L Jackson looks bored in a part then you know it has problems. If any of the prequels had any other name than Star Wars on them, they would have bombed.
