Well i just went to see it, had nothing better to do and my friends where going anyway :P And in all honesty it was alright. A good film, but no where near deserving of the recognition it's getting. A clearly hyped film.
Is there alotta diff. between a regular digital 3D theatre and iMax?? I can't tell you for sure as I haven't seen the movie in a regular 3D theatre yet but the sheer size of an IMAX screen as well as James Cameron himself urging people to try and see it in IMAX as it's the best way to see it gets me thinking that IMAX is the way to go with this movie, the 3D effect available at IMAX is also far superior to other 3D films that I've seen at conventional theaters before, I certainly recommend viewing Avatar at IMAX if it's possible. Hey, IMAX made Transformers 2 good IMO and we all know how bad that was.[QUOTE="PPresentFortune"]
I have only seen it once at IMAX in 3D but I really want to watch it again, I'll be sure to watch it again before it leaves IMAX, it certainly is a great movie, one of my favorites of all time.

I saw it in 3D and I plan on seeing it again in 3D next weekend, and then hopefully I'll be able to get an IMAX ticket eventually.
