I've only seen it once, but I want to go back and see it twice. I wrote an entire article about how this movie relates to economical geology and mineralogy...honestly I think I put too much thought into this movie when I went to see it. I only want to see it twice to verify my information, as well as that I loved the movie lol. Plus, my friend hasn't seen it yet, so I'm hoping next weekend I can go and see it with her. I'm not usually a person that ever sees a movie twice.
I watched it once...We've all seen this movie before. It looks nice, I guess, but if you take the visuals away all you have is a rehash of a few familiar stories. It gets a little preachy in a cheesy sappy way too. In 20 years it's going to look outdated. To me, these movies that rely that heavily on CGI and tons of digitally altered BS have no staying power. They'll be watched purely to show where the concepts that will be used in the future came from.
It's no Bicycle Thief.
I was gonna go see it today on iMax but its snowing like crazy over here, I guess I'll see it tom or on the weekend.
Once, which is enough for me.sammyjenkis898
That's why I haven't watched it yet. I'd rather see something else if I'm paying for the cinema.
One question,I've only seen it in a regualar digital 3D theatre, is it worth to see it in iMax?is there alot of difference?or it looks the same??

I wonder how many of those people will venture out into the unbelievably beautiful places that exist right here on earth? How many will be willing to strap on a pack and venture out for weeks, months...or will they just sit on their computer in their heated and lighted houses wearing cotton, mass manufactured clothes complaining about how life sucks on earth and it should be like Pandora?

Go for it. If you rent it and like it, you will regret not seeing it in theaters.
There is nothing like Pandora on this earth, Nothing.
xFL4WL3SSx
I've seen more beautiful things with my own two eyes. Not some non-existent fantasy land with glowing mushrooms.
Don't get me wrong...great movie, but come on, aren't we taking this Pandora thing a bit too far?
actually there is.. it's called.. fungus. And has been shown to be a gigantic organism connected through miles of terrain. Just do a Google search on humongous fungus. There is nothing like Pandora on this earth, Nothing.

the thing that made me love the movie was just sensery overload, everything was just so...realistic i guess, hell i wish they would instal seats that would shake during action sequences to add to the experiance. maybe spray water in my face or have smell-o-vision or something like that :P

I see what you're saying, but what changes are you really going to make. No offense (I'm really not trying to be caustic or offensive), but it seems like tons of people are saying this and just living in their fantasy world. They claim to be "changed" but have no greater appreciation for our own REAL planet or any greater desire to venture out into its wild places. They just watch the movie continuously and go on forums and talk about how deep the movie was and how they wish our planet could be like Pandora.
Once again, not trying to be a jerk. :)
I saw it once so far in Imax 3D & it was amazing! My University offers student discount movie tickets but they ran out of the ticket that is meant for the Imax theatre (my guess on why its sold out is because of Avatar). Until they replinish it, I'm going to wait. I want to see it in Imax again! The University has student discount movie tickets for other theatres but why waste money if it isn't the Imax version.

I understand your point... in fact, I would argue that my appreciation of the world in Avatar is based on my appreciation for nature here on our own planet... and as much as I desire to venture to 'wild places', thats just not possible at this point in my life, especially given the drab area I live in.
