I can't imagine that my review would be of any particular interest under the mountain of reviews that are floating out there.Lord_Daemon
well, i´d read it. Just to know if its worth purchasing when it´s released on bluray. (:
Let me know if you do decide to go watch it, and subsequently write a review of it.
once, and i struggled after the first hour. You should be given some sort of award for managing to see it 4 times:P
Twice, once in 2D with some members of my family and once in 3D with my girlfriend.
Completely worth the entry fee, it's one of the best movies I've ever seen.
once
i really want to see it in iMax 3D, but i can barely afford a regular 10-dollar ticket let alone the 30+ imax wants
Once with a friend and another time with my parents. I might go see it again once this damn theatre gets its renovations done and has a 3d projector.
Just once in 3D Imax. While it was the clearest 3D movie I've ever seen, really nothing else special about the movie. There isn't one thing you can't predict, and the story holds no surprises.
The theater was packed for a Wednesday night, and one person did clap at the end.
I really don't know what blows people away about it. But then again, I find fireworks boring, so maybe the type of people that get impressed by fireworks love it.
I saw it once in 3D, and that will be the only time I see it in theaters. I mean it was a good movie, but not great and certainly not worth the exorbitant prices they charge for 3D movies.
Personaly I've seen it 4 times,I think it's the best movie of all time(my opinion),and watching it in 3D just makes it an EPIC movie.
how about you guys?
Yeah looks awesome.. but the story is boring... i wont waste my money to see it again....A little human on human betrayal I guess...I was in the near viscinity...Not bad for not watching a trailer or reading about it, only seeing the TV ad, which just showed, little blue dudes and military ships.[QUOTE="xFL4WL3SSx"]
@Bluestorm-Kalas
no ur off, just go watch the movie trust me you won't regret it,here is the trailer to help you on the story.

Actually I was pretty damned close...The only difference is a human helps those avatar or whatever them blue dudes are called, and they are probably beaten by hostile forces, not made peace with, and that guy in the wheelchair falling in love with that girl, it shows that the tribe are good people and their hardships...Comon, you could have at least said I was close so I didn't jump to another cliche ending.
lol ok ur a lil close,r u happy now:Dwait isnt renting a movie like $7,why dont you just watch it in 3D in theatres now and get the most of it on a big screen.[QUOTE="xFL4WL3SSx"]

Actually have almost no desire to see it at all.
Even though Aliens and The Terminator are two of my favourite movies of all time, I'm not a fan of James Cameron and haven't enjoyed on of his movies in more than 23 years. I don't like most James Cameron movies, and all the reviews I've seen are basically saying that Avatar is a standard James Cameron movie.
Furthermore, I found The Abyss and Terminator 2 too pretentious and preachy. So...given what I've heard about Avatar, I'd probably hate the hell out of it.
Bottom line is that it's not getting my money. At best, it'll be a later rental. But I ain't buying it, and I ain't paying money to see it at the cinema.
MrGeezer
Because **** that, that's why.
And renting a movie is more like $4. And then, I can pause the movie to take a leak, I can smoke while watching the movie, and I don't get charged $8 to eat a bag of popcorn while watching the movie. Furthermore, I don't have to put up with people hooting and hollering at the screen, or kicking the back of my seat.
ok man relax, looks like u've always had bad experience watching movies at theatres. lol nobody kicks my seat when I'm watching a movie at my local theatre.Once...I didn't really like it all that much. The ending battle aside, the movie was pretty boring...had the story been more original I'd probably have been more interested.
I only saw it once. I never see movies twice in theaters because of the ridiculous prices for tickets. However I do want to see Avatar in 3D or IMAX, I would imagine it to be an entirely different experience.

I'm luckily enough to pay only £3 for 3D films, when it should be about £9.
