As of now, I currently know these much of British bands (excluding The Beatles. I know the very well thank you):

  • Coldplay
  • Radiohead
  • Arctic Monkeys
  • Hard-Fi
  • Oasis
  • Snow Patrol
  • The Doves
  • Kaiser Cheifs
  • Keane
  • New Order
  • U2
  • Stereophonics
Can anyone else help me adding more artists to that list? And try keeping it to British rock only, or any that does sound like Brit Rock ;)

There are a ton of great British rock bands. Here are a few of the biggest:

Rolling Stones
Black Sabbath
Led Zeppelin
The Who
Pink Floyd
Genesis
The Police

Any of those are awesome bands worth a look.

The last two Aqualung albums have been amazing. The most recent, "Memory Man," is an underappreciated gem.

dreDREb13

I hate it when people say they hate the Beatles. They don't have to like their music, but they can at least respect them.

I honestly doubt anyone could hate ALL of their music. They have so many different styles, I can see how someone couldn't like some or even most of their music, but it seems like there has to be at least one song they like.

Just saying...

But it was Peter Gabriel, damn you Phil Collins:evil: I think Phil is a great drummer but he dumbed down Genesis the same way Sammy Hagar Dumbed down Van Halen.
