HBO: Deadwood, Flight of the Conchords,Extras, Eastboung and Down >> Showtime: Dexter,United States of tara
I have to say a tie. HBO had Sopranos and Deadwood and now has Eastbound and Down and that new show Hung which I like... But Showtime had Dexter and Weeds which are my favorites shows along with LOST...
Showtime has Dexter, therefor Showtime win.sammyjenkis898Yeah it is my second favorite show. Season 3 was slower but was still amazing. I don't think anything can hold a candle to season 1 and 2 though... so amazing. Hopefully season 4 goes back to its roots.

Season 4 involves a serial killer that kills in threes and hasn't been caught in 30 years. He relocates to Florida. He's being played by John Lithgow. So, yeah, you can say I'm excited..

I miss him too. :(
Damn that British girl with her horrible, heavy accent for killing him :x
She was the only reason that season 1 was better than 2. I hated her so much and I am glad Dexter did away with her.
Her death was beyond satisfying. And he did it quick and easy. Not like his regular kills.
I miss him too. :(

I think HBO is the clear winner. Entourage is my favorite tv show (my sig :P). I'm trying to get into True Blood, but it's not working.
I don't watch any of the HBO or STime series'. So I guess I'll have to vote HBO based on the movies they play.

I own you.sammyjenkis898

Don't deny the awesomeness of this scene.
I preff this scene tbh.
Hell, any scene with Dexter is awesome. It's a draw. HBO has True Blood and Hung(which I enjoyed), and SHOtime has Dexter which is the best show I've ever seen.
Probably going to get hell for bringing back a dead discussion, but even though was the clear winner a year ago especially with a past of shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, Six Feet Under, and Deadwood; Showtime is quickly overcoming HBO with Weeds, and The Tudors as well as giving former HBO stars Edie Falco and Michael C Hall their own leading roles in Nurse Jackie and Dexter. I loved the old HBO when The Sopranos played, but with Entourage coming to an end and shows like Hung and True Blood sending HBO back into the stone age of shows more about the kinky sex then plot. Showtime and basic cable have been stepping up their game while HBO is losing steam. This years Primetime Emmy Nominations may be in HBO's favor now, but the only reason I'm keeping my HBO subscription is to see Bill Mahr and Eastbound and Down. I'm really no longer a fan of HBO's current and future lineup, but I like Showtime's lineup better and they have more recent movies than HBO. I'm pretty sure that a good amount of those people who said HBO was better last year have changed their mind, even if its for basic cable over Showtime since AMC is becoming the leader in quality basic cable shows with Breaking Bad.

It is a very good season, and I have no idea how Season 5 will turn out.
EDIT: Forgot to say I like HBO more, it's a lot more likely to have something on that I enjoy.
