Ironic how liberals talk about women's rights and protecting gay people and all that, but yet when it comes to the middle east they tend to support the arab countries over Israel. Talk about a lack of logic.
I will pray for these women and hopefully, someday, they will have all the same rights that women in the civilized world enjoy.
Stop trying to play politics. Disgusting that you would resort to this.Ironic how liberals talk about women's rights and protecting gay people and all that, but yet when it comes to the middle east they tend to support the arab countries over Israel. Talk about a lack of logic.

This issue is politics wether you like it or not. If you want these women to have the same rights as other women get in the civilized world then it will be through political change.
And what I said above is the turth. If people truly believe in protecting women's rights and all that then they should support the countries that DO support that. Not the one's who go against that completely.

Everything he said is true - like it or not. Israel is a beacon of hope and progress in a region that has uncivilized people. Most liberals on OT - who supposedly "value" women's rights - continue to NOT support the only country in the region that actually DOES value human rights - Israel.

Ah yes because clearly if a country does a few things right, that means one should never be critical of it... Who the hell cares if the US uses drones to kill people, prop up or create dictatorships.. We have equal rights damnit!! The fact of the matter is no one is taking one side or the other in the said argument.. I would like to know any one here who supports the Taliban, Saudi ARabia, Syria, Iran.. Because I must have missed those users.. When it comes to criticism of Israel its based around their foreign policies, and your basically falling into a fallacy..  I can't think of any one here that has defended places like Saudi Arabia..Â
[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]<kingkong0124Palestine treats their women similarly genius not nearly as bad by any stretch. And even if they did, so what? ..... Â We can basically point to any country in the middle east for that matter.. That doesn't stop my point.. What does this have ANYTHING to do with the criticism directed at Israel? You can and SHOULD be critical of both sides..Â

So you're against a country defending it's self from terrorists and trying to promote freedom in a part of the world ran by brutal tyrants? Gotta love that far left-wing logic.
Here's what you should do. Fly to an arab country (you have to go to one first because they will blacklist you if you visit Israel), you will be appaled at the kind of things that happen there. Then go to Israel, you will see who the good guys in that part of the world are.
Yes the US has done some bad things, Israel has done some bad things, but they are not bad countries. The arab countries however ARE BAD countries.

What makes you think that it's a bad thing? Solely because how it worked with the Native Americans? Really? You're going to take a small portion of history and then use it to generalize the effects of a broad concept? Government has also caused some of the worst atrocities in human history - doesn't mean it can't be a good thing.
