I have two - a celtic band on my left arm and Mum's name birth and death dates on my right shoulder, wanna get loads more, looking for something for my upper back.

I'm getting my family crest tattooed on my arm in the next month or so. Basically when I can save up the cash (the design I want is like $400).

Everyone who wants to get a tattoo should first get one that says "I'm an idiot" written upside on the stomach. That way, the next time they think about getting a tattoo they can look down at their stomach and be reminded why they shouldn't. FragStains

Word to the wise - hold off on that one. We had a dude who got the tattoo of the RNZAF on week 2, and he got the boot week 8 - not really worth remembering how rubbish he was every time he looks at it...

As far as not wanting a tatt anymore, there is a new type of ink that has more degradable compunds which makes it easy to remove in one laser sitting, so tatto permanence is not that big an issue anymore...

I have two...the coloring is really off in the first pick it actually blends very well......

this is my latest one...(will be completed and colored this summer).....IT's roughly 14 Inches long down the side of my back....

Thank you for your input. Tattoos can be so brilliant when they actually have meaning. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you're referring to, many people get stupid designs in stupid places for stupid reasons, which puts an "I'm an idiot" kind of stigma on tattoos in general...

Personally, I would love to find something that I would be happy with for the rest of my life and get a tattoo, I just don't know exactly what that would be...

Seriously as you do your things today a lot more people than you think will have one - one of your teachers, the guy at the bank, even your grandparents may have one.

My sister and I both work government jobs and are decent people despite having tattoos, my Dad's mate has tattoos form when he was in Portsmouth in WW2, sersiously, calling them "ugly" or "Cheap" or "pathetic" can actually end up being personally insulting.

I have hearts on the inside of my left wrist, stars on top of my foot and "Times Change" across the top of my wrists.
