Do You Like The Beatles Yes/No and why

Yes they are one of my favorite bands and most people ive seen don't like them and i was wondering why

I'm not so keen on their early work. But towards the end of the career I like them. I love the White Album... Revolution 9 = win.

This is opening up a can of worms to create this topic, but yes, I do love the Beatles.

Sgt Peppers/Day in the Life are one of my favorite albums/songs ever.

No I don't like the Beatles, but I can admit they where a big influence on rock music.

Yeah, I love The Beatles. They're my favorite band.

I think they were amazing and highly influential. Their music was so diverse. Nearly every genre is represented in their work, and I love all of it.

I think they were very skilled musicians/songwriters, but I can only say I enjoyed about a dozen of their songs. I don't hate them in any way shape or form (some of their die-hard fans though, are another story). I can't say I really like them either, though. I DO respect them. I can say that much.

I agree. For instance, many people place John Lennonin the heralded position as saviour of modern music, and claim the Beatles created or revolutionized every genre of music today, which is silly.

I mean, The Beach Boys were much more consistently pressing out high quality music than The Beatles, all at the helm of Brian Wilson. Imagine if he had the type of supporting cast found in The Beatles. If only "Smile" had been released before "Sgt. Pepper LHCB" they would have gotten the credit they deserve. I blame Mike Love.

I don't like their music, it's to pop-ish. And they definitely are not the god-like harbingers of music many put them out to be.PowerSerj

You need to actually listen to some of their songs. They churned out good pop music for a couple years but later in their career it was PURE ROCK!!!

Was just a comparison. Obviously they aren't the same people but it's not like it matters. Both are boy bands which ruins any possibility of me liking or having respect for them.

No. You're still not understanding. A band that has legions of little girls as their main audience, uses gimmicky hooks in the choruses, has lyrics about love, and markets their appearance more than their music is a boy band.
