[QUOTE="tzar3"]

[QUOTE="nimatoad2000"]no, its never too soon to get your kids used to good music. bring them to rock / metal concerts now, and reduce the chances of them liking punk / hip hop / rap later in life. now bringing them to a thrash / death concert would be abuse, seeing as the kid would die from moshing nimatoad2000

Whats wrong with Punk music? :(

uh.. most of it, minus a few bands ( the originals like mc5, clash, exc..) are just unskiled rly, hardcore punk to me is thrash metal with the skill taken out, and then punk includes the two worst subgenre's of any genre : emo and screamo

If you want your baby to listen to rock music they can always listen to the studio versions at a low volume.

It is most definetly child abuse. I'd call child services if I were you.

Yeah thats kind of ridiculous...i've seen parents take their kids to shows where the noise wasn't their only worry...like morons crowd surfing over people that couldnt possibly hold them and people jumping and elbowing others in the back of the head >_>

I'd say it's mild abuse to bring them to rock concerts. If they put in ear plugs (not sure if that's possible for an infant) then I might disagree with myself. The sound is just so loud, it surely will cause hearing loss to a young infant (and normal ppl too). Anytime you hear ringing in your ears the following day, you've lost some hearing ability. Sounds like that kid might be deaf at age 5. Lame.

I have brought earplugs before to some concerts especially if I'm sitting close. I'd rather look like a dweeb now instead of looking cool now and being deaf and acting like a feeble geezer when I'm 50.

i'd say it's unintentional child abuse. but either way, parents shouldn't bring a baby to any concert.

Yeah, I'm all for exposing kids to music but that's just stupid
