Atheists, why not pick a Religion?

Choosing to be part of a religion as 'insurance' is no real way to join a religion.

If there is something after our physical lives to be rewarded with, I'd assume that an atheist living a good life, friendly - loving - caring etc., wouyld be more than enough insurance. To say that a good lif isn't enough, and that you have to acknowledge this higher being before you're allowed into paradise is absurd and egotistical.

Who would want to be with that kind of god?

thanks, man, I mean people say we atheists "shouldnt care" because we dont believe, but still...the thought counts. I dont like being told I am going to hell because, frankly, its a negative and I dont like people thinking of good people in a negative light.

Because I'm not wrong, and because choosing something you don't believe in means a lack of confidence and integrity -- and doesn't make sense.
