Not really sure adding a third show under AMC is going to swing the balance in their favor.
Also, if you're going to judge channels based on ratings then CBS is by far the best channel out there.

Breaking Bad outscores all those shows on meracritic.Metacritic compiles a list of critics that have only viewed the first three or so episodes of said season.
And if we're going by Metacritic.

Breaking Bad outscores all those shows on meracritic.Breaking Bad is f*cking awesome. I'm not denying that and I know sammy isn't either. The thing is, HBO has a resume full of f*cking awesome shows.
Plus I'm pretty sure Breaking Bad does not outscore The Wire on Metacritic

too bad that shows been off the air for years.[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]AMC - Breaking Bad and Mad Men HBO - The Wire, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Band of Brothers, John Adams, The Pacific, Carnivale, Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire.BullyRay44you conviently left out Walking Dead, the most watched TV drama ever.
The Walking Dead doesn't really matter compared to that list.
I still haven't seen Mad Men and I've only seen one episode of The Walking Dead. I'm so out of touch with mainstream America. :(

I did not know this. That's a really outdated way to compile TV scores.
The Killing would have a 35 if it was a consensus of the entire season. While AMC is indeed a great channel with great original programming, HBO can't be beat.
Also FX isn't too bad (Sons of Anarchy, Justified)

Sammy has summed up my thoughts quite nicely.

Walking Dead TV series isn't even good. Read the comics to see how far they went into butchering the series.

Also, putting The Walking Dead on a list of quality AMC shows would be like putting True Blood on a HBO equivalent. And AMC is responsible for The Killing, one of the worst shows in recent memory.
*scrabbles out from rock* What is this Break Bad you refer to?HubadubalubahuIf you have netflix the series is on there and I would suggest checking it out. You can probably find it online as well.
While I agree that HBO has more quality content than AMC, the quality content AMC does have just speaks much louder to me. Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead are insanely good, and are just slightly behind Star Trek: the Original series as far as my favorite shows go :) .
