Lol Producer, of course. :PAljosa23Just making sure :P I personally love RZA verses, but he's probably best used as a producer :P
[QUOTE="Ace_WondersX"]I was hoping you guys would let him slip this much
Â
2nd pick is Dr. Dre (producer)
Â
Orlando_Magic
I was deciding between him and 3000 for my first round pick... I have no idea why some people were picking the producers they were picking over Dre...
because there is better out there at this time...maybe not the same legacy, but with some of the producers in the game right now, its like...dr. who?
edit...well actually, after looking at a few producers picked..you do have a point
[QUOTE="Foolz3h"]lol @ having two producers with similar sty|es :PIs it too late for my pick? If not Kno (producer)! 8)
I haven't put enough thought into rappers yet, and yes I am fully aware that this probably isn't a good strategy. :P
Colt45fool
And also, to clear up any confusion HaSheeSh or elpooz may have, when you're picking you're trying to put the best possible five together, while also making sure they match in sty|e. For example, you wouldn't want Chamillionaire rhyming over 9th wonder beats...that just wouldn't sound right. You're both right actually, so let's not try to rag on elpooz for thinking he's right ;) Considering I'm sure he'll say his fair share of stupid things, and make his fair sure of stupid picks in this thread :)
I love you elpooz :-*
Similar? >_> I was thinking of more The Unseen type beats when I chose Madlib, which is extremely claustrophobic and frantic rather than laid back and relaxed.
But yeah, I'm not really putting much thought into this so oh well. :P I'm just picking a lot of what I'm liking at the moment.
[QUOTE="WorstGameEver"][QUOTE="Mkavanaugh77"]So whos picking Crooked I?Mkavanaugh77lets hope no one:|:|:|:|It wouldn't make much sense. His discography is non-existant and all we would have to go on is skills and potential to drop a good album.
sorry if im late. Havnt been around for a minute, and since my phonte choice was ****ed (god, i needed him the most)...i havent thought much for an alternative.
Masta Ace (Rapper)
My next pick is going to have to be (rapper)...I hate you most of all. :(
My motivation? I guess you have to wait and see the rest of my picks. It's just a little callabo I'm sure I would enjoy.-Twilight-

It's actually a HUGE surprise. You guys will never expect it, ever, in a million years. Well, you might but I highly doubt it.
I'm actually wavering between two different guys....two very different styles...would be a dream come true to hear Nas or Rakim over either of their beats....heck, I might take both....not really sure.
shh..........Now I'm wondering if someone has hacked Apoc's account because he still hasn't picked Eminem...

We're supposed to drafting artists based on what they've already accomplished, aka their legacies, according to Colt. We're not supposed to be drafting as if we are starting a label tomorrow and trying to draft the best team of the future. He already clarified all of this in the initial thread. It's like drafting a dream team of Wilt Chamberlain, MJ, Magic Johnson, Bird, and Duncan... rather than a team of the future like Dwight, Durant, Paul, Wade, and Bron.
With that being said, drafting dead rappers/producers is perfectly fine.

Why's that? Would you rather draft based on future potential?Because that could be an option, but how many rappers would we really be able to choose from? Sure, there are a ton of rappers out right now, but half of the draft would be full of unknown artists + how many of us really pay attention to rap that much that we can name 90 rappers with the potential to make a c|assic tommorow?
The reason why the previous draft was never finished was because people ran out of emcees to choose from. We choose the same style (dream team style) except with no vocalists, or producers. By the 3rd or 4th round the posters of OTB circa 2005 couldn't think of rappers they wanted to draft. Not that I'm knocking the community of OTB now, but idk if I'd say it's as educated on rap as well as the posters of 2005....especially since so many of you complain about the quality of threads, and discussion here nowadays.

I guess I agree with it...I just don't know how an artist like Big Boi for example could be compared with B.I.G. Big Boi still has a lot of potential whereas with B.I.G., what you get is what you got.

You fail for not putting Kobe or Lebron on that team of the future...
Â
and
Big L + GZA + Premo isn't that great... Dope lineup but it can be beat if people put together some good matches.Â
