What great classics could they convert to DS

I was thinking about some great games I used to love playing on older systems that would make great DS converts.

How about some of the old Amiga games. One of my favourites was Elite, not the very first one, but the 2nd one. That game didnt have great graphics, but had great gameplay in the trading, missions, fighting type of play. That sort of a game could prolly make great use of the touch screen and could even improve on the graphics a bit.

Any other ideas for old classics you would love to see on the DS ?

I would like to see Conker's Bad Fur Day with online. Which actually might be a possibility.

Other than that, I would love a port/remake/mix of Thrasher on PSone. That or FFVII.

It would be too much to ask Nintendo if they ported Mario Allstars to DS.

I think I would play Star Fox 64 on the DS, if it were somehow ported over. It's too bad the bottom screen would probably be wasted on something like displaying that map of the solar system.Ellimist314

The PSP got all the great arcade collections (Midway, Capcom, Namco)...I think it's time for a few GOOD collections for the DS. The Namco collection is a joke compared to the PSP version, the Konami collection was atrocious, so where does that leave us? I have a few ideas:

Castlevania Legends - a collection of the first 4 Castlevnia games (from the NES and SNES) with enhanced graphics and unlockable extras including full color versions of the GameBoy Castlevania titles; Adventure, Belmont's Revenge, and Legends.

Mega Man Collection - Capcom seemed to forget about us GBA and DS owners when it came time to release the 20th Anniversary collections...

Kid Icarus - Do I really have to say anything more?

Mario Super Stars - It would be Mario All-Stars for the DS. Imagine Mario 1-4 and Lost Levels with New Super Mario Bros. graphics. I know it won't happen since we just got the Mario Advance series over the past few years.

Wizards & WarriorsTrilogy - Remember those games? All three games in one package with better graphics and unlockable W&W Chapter X (GBA).

Dragon Warrior (Dragon Quest) - Oh yeah, I saved the best for last. I know (most) everone likes the upgrade of Final Fantasy 3. Well, with the coming release of Dragon Quest 9 exclusively for the DS, why not do an enhanced remake of the original with graphics to match DQ9? The quest was actually short enough (by today's standards) that I'm sure they could pack in remakes of DW(DQ) 2 and maybe even 3.

Of course! It's been decades since the last Kid Icarus game, and with Pit being in Super Smash Bros Brawl, hopefully Nintendo will give him another chance.

Why the hell would you want a Pokemon Stadium remake for the DS? That's like owning two of the same cars with two different colors...

Yeah, this is great because a little more than a year ago my local eb games took a preorder payment from me for the original gameboy mega man collection. It was pushed back like 4 times...then finally scrapped.

It would be pretty easy to just convert all the ports to one cart...they almost did it for GBA, why not DS?

Exactly...I had to collect on my deposit as well. I love the Mega Man Powered Up for the PSP, so I'm hoping they'll continue with that series. I like the ZX and Starforce games, but I was playing Mega Man from the original...I want my old-school 2D side-scroller with big, bright graphics, trite story line, and huge boss battles. Having the touch screen would make weapon selection a snap. Capcom needs to quit with the "new directions" for the series and go back to the roots.

Well they're remaking FFIV for DS in 3D so it's only a matter of time before we get a 3D remake of FFVI. Right?

It doesn't have to be like the SNES one. It could just be ports of the Mario land games, and maybe the Wario land games too.

I personlly would like to see some of the MS-DOS old games like Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Day of the Tentical and Quest for Glory 4: Shadows of Darkness.

So would I dragon quest games are great. Hopefully we will get them soon. I am crossing my fingers. Dragon quest 9 will be coming soon from Yoichi wada said in the latest news that the game is almost finished. A lot of good games coming out soon. Wada even hinted that final fantasy 13 might be out in 2008 I doubt it but you never know.
