Finished Twin Peaks. Ahead of it's time but a little inconsistent. A solid 4/5.

Finale was awesome but it left killer cliffhangers unresolved. Just another great show that got canceled too soon.

It'd be great if Don left SCDP. That'd be a curveball for the whole show.

Yep, after the killer reveal, laura's friends are pretty much irrelevant to the plot and they kind of stick around for no reason other than probably a contract thing. At least it picks up again with the wyndom stuff. Ahead of its time is a good definition, It's hard to compare it to much else really. Might never have a show like that again.

Most recent episode was a high point of not only this season, but the entire series. Really good stuff.
I don't think Peggy will leave the show entirely, they have built up her character so much, so she certainly isn't disposable as characters like Betty or Sal. If she truly does leave SCDP, I think it'll follow her at the new company and bring them more into focus as far as a rivalry goes. Could introduce a whole new dynamic to the show next season.

As for what happened. It's interesting to think that Joan just thought Don was trying to play the good guy and that he was in on it just as much. Pretty clear that Don was really disgusted by it, though. His reaction when he realizes she did it is one of the best moments of the show. It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Don dealing with Peggy and what his fellow partners pushed Joan into doing, Roger and Bert being dead weight, Pete's ruthless ambition, and Lane ripping the company off. Plus several other interesting story-lines they've built up, especially Don feeling threatened creatively by Ginsberg. It's really impressive how they keep building this show up into more.
Finished The Shield last night.

Damn. Just...damn. :(

One of the best final seasons/series finale you could ask for.

Mad men got lost in all the E3 hype.... that last episode was amazing. One of their best.

TV discussion is back on the offsite, Ninja-Hipbro.

It was good, but I wouldn't say it was a top-tier Mad Men episode. The Sally plot was all kinds of boring, and as good as some of the scenes were I felt that the you-know-what plot never quite gelled.

I say lets keep it around for a bit for Breaking Bad and see how it goes. Because that premiere was fun, plus I like having 2 threads to say GO F*CKING WATCH DAMAGES! Glenn Close>Women on TV who are not Glenn Close.
