A Thingamaijg.XD That actually looks pretty nice. Another good looking 2D game.:)
I wish Sonic the Hedgehog 4 looked that good. Â
I've seen nothing but hate for MGS Rising. Am I the only one who thinks it looks totally badass? People are crying because there's no stealth in sight but dude... You're playing as Raiden. Did you see Raiden in MGS4? No sneaking, the dude brings mayhem wherever he goes. I'll welcome a change of genres with open arms. I'm sure we can still expect an amazing story. Any word on when it's placed? I'm hoping between 2 and 4?
It wouldn't be unique Afro Samurai had it first :?well I can't hope for much from Raiden as a character (his whole "boo hoo I'm a lonely cyborg" thing in MGS4 felt totally contrived), and I can't expect from the story that's really insightful interesting in the MGS universe.
gameplay wise it might not be a typical hack and slash, and the slow mo cutting might just be a special event, where normal slicing through mooks in real time is the majority. we don't know much about boss characters, elite mooks, and what kind of combat they involve.
but think of how damn unique rising would be if it didn't follow video game slash rules. every cut you make on an unarmored target is a kill. ninja gaiden doesn't do that, nor does DMC, GOW, bayonetta, etc. they all just have invisible hitpoints that deplete before the enemy gibs in a predetermined way. (hell, LIGHTSABERS don't even cut through anything until the all powerful hitpoint gods say so  )
therefore the focus of combat might be movement, evasion, waiting for the right time to strike, and once you strike, you have won. instead of hack hack hack for each enemy just to kill them.
if raiden is very vulnerable to ranged enemy weapons, that's a whole different dynamic than what we would expect.Â

I think it will be forgotten once it releases. I also think the genre change for this particular spin-off will result in a half-backed hack-and-slash game. There might be a few neat ideas but that's probably all. I haven't seen the trailer, but MGS games are always somewhat clunky, so I'm not really expecting much in an MGS hack-and-slash. Â
okay, well I don't care about afro samurai. when did that game come out? yeah I thought so. :PMordred1908 or something. I don't care for it either. I'm just saying it isn't like it was something that hasn't been done before :P
True there should be some stupid stuff for move like that fighting game, but Sony might have some of their better franchises using it as well. Socom 4 should be interesting with those controls, and I wouldn't be surprised if Resistance 3 is announced as a show case for how Move is for FPS controls. Not to mention Little Big Planet 2 should end up using it for the level editors, and I'm sure MM will come up with something to use it for in the single player or coop.Been watching some Kinect games and... I think I just stick with controllers and some of those games look really super lame (then again the PS move will probably have some too).

I think I'm the only one seriously enjoying the E3 so far.
And we still have Nintendo's and Sony's for our amazement.
But yeah, I suppose...

- Rising delivered.
- Gears 3 delivered.
- Halo Reach delivered.
- New Crytek game has me interested.
- Crysis 2 delivered.
- Dead Space 2 delivered.
- Bulletstrom delivered.
- Future Soldier delivered.

Its true, there were a ton of great looking games shown, but I want teh megatons. Or something new and truely innovative and unique. You listed only shooters.. I like shooters, I'm so hyped for Crysis 2, but thats still a lot of shooters..
E3 highlights for me..
Gears of War 3
Bulletstorm
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Rayman: Origins
Crysis 2
Need For Speed from Criterion Games is win.
Dead Space 2
--
Though to be honest I'll probably only end up buying Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Dead Space 2, the other games are the ones I'm interested in playing eventually. As for Microsoft's conference, beyond Gears 3, everything else was boring for me personally.
EA's conference was pretty good, Ubisoft's was suck minus the two games I mentioned.Â

2 action games and 6 shooters, genres I never get too excited about :(
[QUOTE="789shadow"]After Day 1 of E3, I can safely say: SAVE US NINTENDO!!!!!!!!

Lionheart08
Nintendo will look down and whisper no.Â
I guess they yelled No Problemo instead. :PÂ
Donkey Kong is BACK :Djg4xchamp
Seriously, that sold the show to me. Right now I'm at the cross roads of not knowing whether to get a Wii or a PS3 this summer. This conference really has pushed me more to Ninty's camp.Â
I know champ will be happy after reading this:
Halo Reach will have Firefight
This is so much win, imagine the gamenights...

Mitu, if you wanted to get my giblets tingling with excitement you did a good job.

Yes!!! 3DS AW please!!!Ninty's conference ****ing owned! LOL at MS and Ubisoft.
with what? Zelda? and Metroid?(although yes two exceptional franchises)
Most of their conference could very well be the same crap. Sales talk(nintendo will do that), Montages(nintendo will do that), handheld talk(eww), and then the bone or two that is the New Metroid and Zelda(plus another game announcement for one of their franchises).jg4xchamp
Please admit ownage, good sir! :PÂ

Nintendo won E3. I know Sony didn't go yet. I don't care. Nintendo won.
There is no debate here. Lock the thread, there is nothing left to say. Nintendo won E3, they won 2010, they won life.
I want the 3DS, I want the 3DS, I want the 3DS NOW! =(
But really, Nintendo steals the show at E3 thus far.
Pretty awesome that Kid Icarus, Kirby & DK are back. Looks like they'll be a Star Fox for 3DS too. Where's Pikmin though?
Kinda crazy that the 3DS will probably have quality titles at launch, but did they give a release date?

Gladly they showed Donkey Kong :DSo Nintendo steals from Sony inadvertently. Nice.
But sadly, 3D it will be just another gimmick like Sony wand and Natal >:
[QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]As I predicted zelda was met with mixed reactions. Anyone here actually excited about the game like me?jg4xchampThe controls are what bothered people. Once those are tightened up it will be fine. how about the look, items and such. What are your thoughts on those?
Epic Mickey = Game of E3 for me so far.
It looked incredibly, and the switch to 2D make me
Also, Zelda looks amazing. Cell-shading + TP artstyIe = Win.
They had techinical problems (that much was obvious), but no doubt it's gonna be awesome.
DKC and the 3DS were the icing in the win cake. :D
