ok so i thought i had to format the memory card to play japanese game(well save) on my card? i have PAL NTSC/U and NTSC/J saves all on the same memory card now, is this even possible?

most people on this forum is american or North American and most people dont know this question
I used Freeloader to play US and Japanese games on my PAL Gamecube, it said on the Freeloader manual that you have to use separate memory cards for each region...., don't remember why though lol.
