These days I'm playing both NiGHTS games, so I've been listening to their soundtracks a lot.

I made a Top 100 Video Game music video earlier this month, watch if you want (I am not fishing for views)

N64 Zeldas, Wind Waker, Final Fantasy VI, Silent hill 2, 3, Shattered Memories, Homecoming all have excellent soundtracks.

The entire vocal soundtrack to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is damn fantastic.

How did I forget Bayonetta. Damn that soundtrack gets me jigging.

Oh, Gitaroo Man and Rhythm Knight. You should play them both!

Remember Me's soundtracks is great. I had the theme play over and over a bunch.

I agree with everyones here. Its so nice how so many games have such great soundtracks.

Metal Gear Solid Rising: Reveangence, Journey, The Last of Us, Assassin's Creed IV, MAss Effect 3 and Final Fantasy X

Fallout 3 comes to mind. A lot of catchy tunes on there that contradict the atmosphere in a surprisingly fitting way. I'm also digging the music for Metal Gear Solid V. Most Metal Gear Solid games I've played have great music. Silent Hill 2 also has a few haunting tunes I like.

How do you post youtube vids on here? I've been trying to figure that out for a while now. Whenever I hightlight text and click on Insert Video, it only allows me to post gamespot vids.

What I do is click on the video tab, next to the image tab, and put the URL (youtube happens to be this instance)

Then I write some text when necessary.

I am not joking when I say the Quest 64 soundtrack was absolutely amazing.

Shame on everybody here, not a single person mentioned Xenoblade's soundtrack :(

Anything from Halo, Silent hill 2, Chrono trigger, Nier, and Donkey Kong Country are awesome soundtracks

Nostalgia.

NFS High Stakes had some seriously funky techno and breakbeats. Cant believe how much of that was in-house.

FF10 was varied enough to get a mention.

Silent Hill 3 was deep

Tekken 4 had some nice summery vibes, and I love the cage arena theme. They tried to attempt a little 'Linkin Park' with that

The piano tracks that played during homebuilding on The Sims 1 also deserve an honorable mention. They're always soothing to listen to.

Everything in Journey is phenomenal. "Apotheosis" alone makes it incredible, but everything else is just as good, making it a marvelous score all-around. A fantastic example of music as narrative in games, and just plain beautiful music as well.

Demon's Souls is great, too. It's understated nature really helps instill the sense of dread that makes the game so damn intense. To cap it off with such a calm, lullaby-like song was the perfect touch. A real shame the subsequent games in the series have relied more on bombastic tunes instead. Not nearly as interesting or effective. (Though Dark Souls and its sequel still have some noteworthy tracks.) I wrote an article about it a while back for anyone interested.

I agree with a lot of the listings posted, but..... I haven't seen ATV Off-Road Fury!!!!! That game had a great soundtrack, as did Sled Storm
