All games are beginning to look and feel the same

here is my take on the whole situation. either you need to find other gaming genres, go indie (i still dont believe indie brings anything new) quit gaming, or appreciate the polish of these games. 

although i started gaming in the 80's, i think most games in the 80's sucked except for the rare gems.a lot of games were made the same way, they just weren't polished the same way. i don't think many of us complained that space invadersmgalaga and galaxian played similarly. no one complained that most of the games were side scrollers. 

i like the idea that games have improved vastly. if you didn't want to play the same thing, inform yourself though before purchasing it. 

Statements like "indie games don't bring anything new" and "mainstream games all play the same" need to stop being posted. They should be automatically filtered out or something. Stop being so narrow minded and stop mistaking your failure to find interesting games as proof that there is no interesting game.
