I was in Beauty and the Beast over the weekend. That took up pretty much all week this week. Now I can be mostly back in full force for gaming and posting here.

Yes, I do. Granted, my welcome back is apparently temporary, but you'll accept it with a smile nonetheless. Or else I'll light a bag of dog poo on fire on your doorstep and run away!

well... I guess I'm not one for parties... I don't like drinking... or being around people who are... but hey, thanks for the welcome.
Any excuse for a party :P
And... I should also be around more. Dissertation done, fini, beendet, geëindigd, terminado... it's bliss.
Except for the part where I have finals in (less than) two weeks :(
I has to go learn.

me am do likes the learnins ^_^
I have two finals this week! Ugh, I hate finals...
However, that means I only have one final on finals week, so after that on Tuesday, I am free from school for the summer!
I also just started the Retail Loyalty Program for Playstation and am getting pretty close to earning a free copy of Motorstorm. w00t!
Fairly cheap Gamecube complete in Box for under $45. Only comes with controller but still pretty cheap.LinkPaully3433
Side beneft of the Wii being backward compatible = cheap legacy systems.
[QUOTE="BigC43"]I just watched it. Very interesting movie. If you like zombie movies, you'll like this.inkwolf
How about zombie chickens?
(Warning: that link is not for the faint of heart.)
Gotta love Troma :D
I also like zombie/were/wtf sheep, and would recommend this movie to all.
Fido is a movie I wanna see, people seem to describe it as a Canadian Shaun of the Dead so it's gotta be alright :D It never got a release here but it's on my list to buy from mainland Europe at some point...
Well, I'm a sentimental guy, and a dork. So this confirms it. I just incorporated a business, which is a farming business, and it is called "Harvest Moon Farms". You're either going to know what I am talking about and think I'm the most sentimental dude ever, or you won't and you'll think I'm a dork. Either way, I'm having Serious Fun.aspro73
Congratulations, dork! :P (I couldn't resist...)
Seriously though...that's really cool. I wouldn't have had the stones to pull that off.

You serious?

Uhh.... aren't you worried about any legal issues using that name?

Don't really know what you're talking about... but I don't think you're a dork either.

Yes, I'm serious, and no worries on the name, the term harvest moon is a generic one (like "full moon" or "blue moon"). Now if I called the business "Sailor Moon Farms" then I'd be in trouble (well, not really since no one is going to care about my small little farming business).

a canadian SotD? im not so sure. its a bit more tongue in cheek and a lot less slapstick. i absolutely loved it though.
"how many of you kids have ever killed a zombie?"

"ok, not too many."

Yup, now I kinda want to watch it again...
I just passed up an opportunity to purchase a Wii today. Hmmm.... why did I do that.inkwolfThere was someone who actually returned a Wii to the store today. oO the people at the service desk couldn't believe it. Said they bought it for their son and he didn't want it.
If my parents randomly went out and bought a system for me i'd be like THANK YOU. xD Kids today.

I never saw a Wii for sale, ever. And how long has it been since launch? I only got mine through a friend at work who feverishly trolled walmarts site (prior to launch)...
You should have picked it up, if not only to play RE4 Wii Edition. It would have been worth it mon ami.

I've been waiting for a good excuse to watch it on Netflix's "Watch it Now!", and these posts are my tipping point!

Oh don't worry, I intend to get one eventually...
We're just a little strapped for cash recently, so my wife and I have agree to "cool it" with purchases for a while. It figures that it's just when I would finally see Wiis for sale too. I checked back today and they still have them in stock, but I'm sticking to my promise.

Initlaly, the wii's line up was weak, but the good title of the wii has begun to bulk up. and with wiiware launching next week, it's getting much better. I know it for a fact, because my wii collection has begun to thicken esepcially in the last couple months. :D[QUOTE="aspro73"] You should have picked it up ...inkwolf

Yeah well good for sticking to it (sincerely). While I get my business off the ground I've got no income and spending tens of thousands on the business, and try as I might I still find myself spending on games.

Really? I wouldn't have thought they were that hard to find now. Here it was nuts around Christmas, you'd have had to sell a kidney or something to get one, but after about the end of January they started appearing again. Now everywhere has them, which is just plain weird considering the reason Nintendo gave for the lack of stock at Christmas was that we're a crappy little island with crappy little trade routes...
Anyway, I'm most likely getting a Wii over the summer. My brother asked if I'd like one for my birthday... crazy question :P
There's quite a few games on that system now that I'm interested in. At first I was pretty meh, but now... doesn't seem too shabby at all!

yeah, for real as of Februray at least, which was the last time I was in the US.
On the library, yeah now that Kart has been released N has touched all the bases, I wonder where they go from here now they have released a Mario, Metroid, Paper Mario, Mario Party, SSB and Kart game?
I just saw Speed Racer in IMAX, twice in a row for free. That was a very good and very trippy movie...BigC43
Everything is a trip in IMAX.
I'd love to play burnout in IMAX. My head would explode.

Sweeeeeeet...
I saw The Matrix Revolutions in IMAX... it almost made it bearable... almost...
300 was probably the best though :D
I should go to IMAX more often. It's annoying though cos the one near me in Bradford usually plays nothing but bloody Sea Monsters and Space Stations... not exactly worth £8
Proof that I got started early...
This pic is from roughly 1983...it's my sister and me on what I can only assume was Christmas morning. I'm the stoner on the right...with the 2600 controller in my hand! I'm not sure my sister really knew what she was doing there...

My dad and siblings watched it yesterday and loved it as well. Further proof that the low rottentomatoes score is uncalled for.
Oh Jolly, you are such a cute ickle pirate :P
I suspect I have equally awww-inspiring pictures featuring myself, my brother, a Christmas morning and a shiny new NES...
Good stuff. I don't think I have any pictures like this, unfortunately.Proof that I got started early...

Must've been stoned from watching too many Michael Jackson performances...lucky you. I wish I could've lived back then, if only for that...
are you guys all like... you know... old. Im 17 but you guys have an INsANE amount of games, it mustve tooken you a while. You should do a poll to see the average age of the people in the union :)Zeldasboy_12
Well, I'm 29 and I think I'm on the high end. I know we've got one guy in his 40s round these parts. And two PhDs, but they maybe be Doogie Howser types. I'll wager that the average age is around 25 or so around here.
