Reader's Choice Emblem Reporting Thread

I voted in everything and never recieved the emblem. Here are some of the catergories I can remember voting in: Best Story, Best New Character, Most Innovative Game, Best Graphics/Artistic, and Game Of The Year.

I voted for all, but the ones that stood out for me were the dubious honours:

Most Despicable Use of In-game Advertising, Least Improved Sequel, Flat-out Worst game, Worst Game Everyone Played.

There are many others that were fun too, like Most Violent Game to Make it Past Aussie Censors, and Best Boss Fight. Thanks for reopening this, I missed the first one by half a day!

I voted for everything and didn't get my emblem =(

I believe I voted for most of them, but here a few categories I remember:

Best Story, Best New Character, Best Graphics - Artistic, Best Graphics - Technical, Biggest News maker, Worst use of in game advertising, Biggest Disappointment, Worst Game of The Year, Best shooter, Best RPG, Best Platformer, Best Rhythm Game, Best Wii game, Best PS3 game, Best Xbox 360 game, Best PC game, Best DS game, Best PSP game, and Game of The Year.

I voted in everything and did not get the emblem, not sure why GameSpot "Handed out less".

I do not remember what games I voted for except I voted MGS4 as game of the year. Usually I vote for games I like best, or in some cases games I think I would like best (Best Wii game), for systems I don't own. Or I will vote for games I hated the most (Worst game everyone played).

I also voted for things like Worst use of in game advertising, or however you guys say that award.

Also:

• Best PS2 game
• Best 360
• Best PS3

And so on, I hope this is enough proof and maybe next time give out emblems to all that vote. Just a suggestion.

I had voted in all the categories (some of them more than once, if I recall). Some categories I'm definitely sure I voted for were Best UK Developed Game, Best Atmosphere, Best Strategy Game, Best PC Game and Game of the Year (naturally).

I voted in each category, but I don't remember all of the nominees or even who I voted for. I do know that each voting screen had 4-5 games on it, with the "vote" button underneath each game. 1. Best RPG (I still think The World Ends With You should have won; it would be a good boost for Square Enix to make new and orginal games, and quality ones at that)

2: The platforms, such as best PS3 game, best DS game, best Wii game (Even though World of Goo is technically multi-plat, being on the PC and all)

3: The platformers award.

4. The best game no one played; and going with that, the worst game everyone played

5. Worst or despicable use of in game advertisement

6. Best puzzle game

7. Best extra content (I'm assuming that Burnout Paradise patch was free?)

8. and finally, I suppose game of the year, but I'm sure everyone voted/remembers that

I actually did vote in every category, just like I do every year. If I have to throw out some category names, my favorites are usually "Best game no one played," "Worst game everyone played," "Best new character," "Worst in-game advertising," etc. All the oddball ones.
