Fallen Earth is a unique MMO that combines a FPS with RPG mechanics. It's a skills game not a leveling one so it's fun!

I started playing Fallen Earth in the beta stage in late August and was intrigued with the storyline and play style. It was to me basically a Mad Max-Fallout hybrid. I enjoy the FPS style with the RPG mechanics to determine damage. Also, I like to craft and had been looking for a game that was similar to crafting in SWG since I had heard about it's real-time crafting style (although I had never tried it). The crafting while not essential to do is really worthwhile and fun and adds to your skill building and leveling if you do it. The environment while not groundbreaking is fitting to the post apocalyptic theme and suits it well. The developer Icarus is also really pro-active and fixes bugs and adds content similar to what Turbine has done to LOTRO in making it successful.
I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a breath of fresh air in the MMO genre and not the same old fantasy style that has been far to dominant in MMOs to date. It's crafting system is also fun even for those who don't really like crafting. The community is very helpful and overall much more mature than most. While it may not have the million and millions of subscribers that some MMOs have I think it will have a solid core group and a developer that will keep it going for a long time to come!
