I can only say this , that i MUST compare it too F1C 99-02. Still THE most realistic F1 game to date and Race series.
Yet it isnt .
In F1c 99-02, if you are in a Minardi you are not racing a williams or Mclaren or even a bennetton. The only drivers you are racing is an Arrows (but only just) or your team mate. Thats realism. NOT F1 2010. F1 2010 is miles off. Nice graphics but its not a sim. Its a console arcade game with Sim elements crammed into a game for GRID and DIRT 2 fans. Console people have no idea what F1C 99-02 is or really plays like, they have never even played a pure racing sim game like RACE 07 or GTR 2 or F1 geoff crammonds or F1 c 99-02, or RFactor, in thier lives. they have no idea how vastly superior racing games on a PC is, they only have an opinion, We PC gamers know the facts . EA murdered thier console racing games with thier PC F1 game. It was a million times more realistic on PC over Consoles. I know EA normally (up till FIFA 11 adn tiger woods adn Madden was the same as its console counterparts in gameplay) does thier sport games better on console, but EA's F1c 99-02 and SUPERBIKES 2001 was not the case, they WERE pure simulation racing games on pc and were not simulation games on Console.
the guy that said i hope F1 is like the console version of EA's games because EA never makes good pc sports games. well....
1 :> Thats changed with FIFA 11, its exactly the same as a console, Madden was always the same in gameplay , just not in graphics , as was Tiger Woods.
2:> Not in the racing department, Ea's racing games on PC were vastly superior in every way on PC over thier Console games, they were completely different games. SuperBikes 2001 and F1C 99-02 as an example. Even thier Nascar racing game was superior to the console version.
I still consider F1c 99-02 with mods that span over 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2009 STILL to be the game to beat as the best F1 game ever made, period. Thats 9 years of F1 AND its more realistic than F1 2010. Its still the superior F1 game in my view. Graphics or no. However i still think the SKY in F1c 99-02 competes pretty well with the sky in F1 2010.
Other than that F1 2010 is a fun game . But its pretty typical console game in my view. The TOCA series is still better than GRID and DIRT.
