If you like F1 sims, then look elsewhere

To the casual gamer, there is probably nothing wrong with this game. If you're one of the people intent on defending this game's arcade positives, then I suggest you stop reading this review.

Physics model needs some serious work. It is very difficult to feel the car and anticipate where the limit of grip is. When oversteer does occur, somewhat unexpectedly, it feel like a scripted effect, rather than modeling the wheel spin. So you end up sideways, with little or no capacity to save it.

Under braking it is also very difficult to anticipate where the locking point will occur. 9 out of 10 corners you can brake with full force and never lock up, brake 50% into the next corner and they lock, and stay locked after you get out of the brakes. There's simply no feel when modulating brake pressure.

The surround sound settings are woeful, I've tried various surround settings and there are all kinds of strange engine sounds bounced around my speakers. It was so bad that I had to switch it to stereo mode to hear my engine properly. This is after several hours of tweaking game, soundcard and speaker settings.

The rules are enforced to excess, way beyond real life.

On the plus side the graphics are very nice - that's about it.

This is an arcade game disguised as a sim. If you're after a sim, stick to iRacing.
