If you find yourself bored with the drifting in NFSU2, this is the game for you.

First off this game is worthy as a racing game. Sure it doesn't have a silly story about your car being jacked, or wrecked so you have to rebuild your fame. But it makes up for the cheesiness with the different modes of play.

* Season - 2001-2005 seasons available to play through, as well as the option to custom make your own 7-race season.

* Quick Play - You have Time Trial, Single Battle, and Survival Mode, which the last one alone will keep you busy for awhile. Plus, you can unlock XTreme mode, which I didn't find amusing myself, but others do.

* D1GP Movies - Yes, actual movies you can unlock in the game that are footage from the D1GP. Awesome stuff.

I never got a chance to play the multi player so I can't give a review of it.

While the learning curve is longer then say, for GT4, it's definatly not a problem if you just stick with it. I've read reviews about not feeling like your in control of the car. I'm sorry but I never had that problem, and if I did, I would of scored it accordingly. The graphics are solid, but don't buy it if you think you can customize your car, because bad news, you can't. The final point is don't listen to reviews from "game reviewers". If you notice, this game has an average of 8.0 from 69 players, whereas GS gave it a measly 4.3 If you have the money, just flat out buy it. Otherwise rent it, and give it a couple of hours to sink in.. because I can guarentee you'll be back for more.
