Colourful graphics galore!!! It makes Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon for the PS2 look like Alex the Kidd in Shinobi World

One of the best beat (or should that be slash?) em ups for the PS2...they really should have made more games in the same series...the graphics are the most awe inspiring, and the various locations of battles dont give you repetitive lanscapes and scenarios as do most games....the selection of enemies are very good, and costume design for both goodies and baddies are really quite fab....

The in game movies are another sight for sore eyes...as the story unfolds, you get to see more of these, and each clip is a joy to watch, even when there is no martial arts action...the music is a mix of both Eastern/Oriental spiced up with bass and guitar....just like in the movies!!!!

The only thing whihc dissapointed me was that the main hero (Lau) is in fact a boy....but when you look at him on the DVD case (or during gameplay) he resembles a girl...I though she (or rather he) was a girl when I picked up the game (something of Asian-equivalent of Joanna Dark from Perfect Dark)....but when I read the manual, and played the game, he was indeed a he!!! Ah well, never mind.....you do get drop dead georgoues guys in this world....who wear lipstick, eyeliner, earings, and dye their hair a flamboyant red colour???? Maybe he likes dressing up like women, you never know......

Anyway, what matters is the gameplay and graphics...the learning curve is quite good, and if you find you have trouble controlling, you can always go back to the tutorial.....a must have for all martial arts/action fans!!!!
