A nice hidden action game gem for the ps2

User Rating: 8.5 | Bujingai PS2
now i really had no idea what i was buying at the time i was picking this up, but i was pretty glad that the cover caught my eye because this is a fairly decently done well adventure game,

Storyline: 8/10 slightly interesting

your Lau, a master daul sword weilder that has masterd martial arts (very well i should add), the plot is pretty simple that your trying to stop your best freind of the past who has turned into evil demon like person advoiding saving the world gimmick however youll be still saving the princess like plot still (oh though not as painted as) because your evil freind took your other freind whos a girl probaly forcing Lou to move in another motive, you go around from stage to stage defeating demons usually called forsakens and end up fighting mid boss's and regular boss's throughout the game, as commen sounding as that may seem...you'll be going through some pretty cool places like citys to fighting on half of a moon or clouds in heavens in the sky and the gameplay just makes it even better,

Gameplay 9/10 as a adventure game should be

the gameplay is suprisingly fun, its nothing to serious or dramatic but its very awesome to watch Lau use his quick martial arts during battle using his daul swords in his extreamly fast pace swing phase combo and his magic's are generaly interesting as well, what really makes the fighting a succeses is that if you were to fight another boss with a sword, youll go into a VERY flashy move seqence (that can last 1 second to 3 minites of continues swinging back and forth hitting each others swords) and camera angles as if you were playing your awesome favorite kung fu movie or something as you watch them clash each others sword, during this phase your free to side step a direction or cast a 1 magic ending phase, you may not have to many options but it hardly ever gets old and is done extreamly well, the real only problem with this is that Lau really only has one large combo attack phase and a few branchs to go into diffrent moves but since the martial arts is done so greatly, its overlookable and simple to some less hard core players, Lau has also near infinite wall climbing/running and jumps (jumps not infinite) as well he can use and has great jumping/shifting abilty which all have nice response time that has enough varible to make Lau sort of...diverse in fighting style, the only problem i have with the gameplay is i wish there were more stages or longer so it dosent have to end in around 15 hours,

Graphics 8/10 not bad

hmm, its a bit hard to say but since every stage looks pretty cool and character models are nearly done well, id have to say there at the standerd as they should be and when you get into a martial arts fight, it does look like a martial arts fight, so to end it in short, great,

Music 10/10 very suprising

im very impressed by what ive been hearing throughout the game, oh though there are only about 20 tracks or less around i belive, nearly every music peice i listened to was epic, the first stage alone, might have you just setting up Lau there, leaving your ps2, just to listen to this stage song, the music in this game has japanese taste, and hell...this must be what superior japanese music was sound like,

Replay abilty 8/10 interestingly

there are coins to collect a bundle of coins to unlock extras placed throughout the game to unlock certain content, but for the most part youd play this game to just enjoy the gameplay again or listen to some nice music that youd be tempted to rip off the net somewere,

Final word... looking for a cheap 9.99 fighting action adventure game with swords to keep you entertained for about 20 hours with the taste of a movie of martail sword arts from japan in america? well here it is,
