BiA: Hells Highway is a good game, but could have been better.
As good as the story is, the game-play doesn't quite live up to it. Its slow-paced, which isn't a bad thing, its just really slow-paced, which isn't good. Some of the mechanics, like sprinting, don't work very well, and for some reason its hard to aim down the iron sight. But there's alot of good too, this game is more tactical than Ghost Recon even, which is cool, because you'll control up to 3 squads at a time. The AI is pretty good to, because you can order them to kill a specific person, or let them do it themselves. You hide behind cover in a third-person mode, but the rest is 1st-person. Driving tanks is also in a few levels, its fun, but not great. You can control a gunner and the main gun of the tank, and put the gunner in and out. And there's also a kill-cam, as in, when you get a nice head-shot, or kill a whole bunch of people in a single explosion an "Action Camera" activates and pauses the action to zoom in on it. There's also some collectible in here, but there not that big.
The graphics are OK, but just OK, the character models look fine and the environments look good. But i think they should have done more work on the characters. The sound effects are good, but the voice acting is outstanding.
So overall, this is a great game, not superb, but great. I'd recomend it to anyone who likes Ghost Recon, single-player or WW2 games in general. I haven't talked about the multiplayer, cuz its not that great a.k.a not worth mentioning. And it doesn't have much replay value either.
The Good-
-Good environment graphics
-descent cover system
-all the soldiers have personality
-long campaign
-squad orders are good
-good weapon variety
-good voice acting
The Bad-
-shoot and take cover system gets boring after awhile
-bad online
-SMGs aren't very useful
-character graphics could have been better
-cutscences need a "skip" button cuz I dont want to watch them over and over
