You must have the original game for uninturrpted playing for hours ulnless the punkbuster will kick you out with out giving any warning even if you are is the middle of the game and be sure you will feel sorry for not havving the original one.
If that is not possible to obtain a original copy at your town you can download the game from tursted source or may hire the same or by any other mode ..my advise is that dont use the CRACK to play the game istead of that download the miniimage for Battlefield 2 and play with using it through Demon Tolls. You will not be able to play more than 15-20 minuted with it ..,but if you use the miniimage the play time will increase sufficiently every time you play the game.
Yes ...you have to be connected to internet to play the game otherwise you will not be able to make the server login and even play the single player mode.

Presently 3 teams are available to chosse (any 2 team in a single game) USMC .MEC and CHINA...hope you will find different modes to have the increased number of Team available but that are single player only.
