Tommy Wiseau's Creepy New "Movie" Isn't Actually A Movie At All--It's A Music Video

You're tearing him apart, Lisa!

Update: Though it was reported that Scary Love would be the next film to star Tommy Wiseau, it turns out none of that was actually true. Instead, Scary Love is actually a music video by the band The Neighbourhood, starring Wiseau shooting laser guns in a neon diner. While still incredibly on-brand for the writer, director, and star of The Room, it's hard not to be disappointed that the project isn't the movie we were expecting. You can take a look at the music video below, then continue on for the original story.

Are you ready for a new Tommy Wiseau movie? Whether you are or not, the mastermind behind the cult classic film The Room--which inspired The Disaster Artist--is ready for the world to see his next project. And, of course, it looks just as bizarre as the movie that made Wiseau famous.

Scary Love is set in a neon-lit future Los Angeles. A plot synopsis reads, "Tommy Wiseau plays a bounty hunter in search of his long lost love. But while the Wars of Cancellation have turned his city to rubble his search for love is rife with complications in a population full of mutants, freaks, and cannibals."

If there is one thing society needs, it's Wiseau starring as the hero of a sci-fi movie set in a dystopian future hellscape, right? What's better, the movie's description promises "practical special effects, laser beams, and lunatic ideas" worthy of a classic B-movie.

While this may sound like something that would come from Wiseau's mind--which must be filled with "lunatic ideas"--he's merely the star of this particular project. That's right, he was hired by another director to act in the film. Perhaps, The Room really has paid off.

Scary Love is directed by Jennifer Juniper Stratford, whose previous credits include being a wardrobe supervisor on MTV's Jackass and serving as writer and director for the web series Multinauts. At this point, there is no announced release date for Scary Love. However, Wiseau also has the movie Best F(r)iends, in which he co-stars with his The Room collaborator Greg Sestero, releasing in two parts in March and June 2018.
